#Drone stopped powering up
101 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
ok so
it does get power thru micro usb
but uh
my FC is flashing red at me
Make sure the power leads are all still intact and soldered to the AIO's pads
otherwise only powering up from USB can mean a dead 5v regulator on the FC
yup they are
try anotyher battery
I did

maybe this will help he has the same problem as you
does it connect to betaflight?
yes
connect it to betaflight and plug tyhe lipo in, then check for this
so the fc recieves power
so what could the issue be
try to tes the motors
Check if you can control the motors
how do I check if it can
plug in lipo
go to motors tab
chec the "i understand the risks"
and drag the sliders up
PROPS OFF
do you have video signal?
wdym prop dead
nope
sorry meant probably XD
harsh landing
luckily the fc is not that expensive

ima just
see if I can return it or something
it has caused me alot of issues and I shouldve jsut payed more for a drone
true enough i actually have a baby ape too
if you can return it i can recommend the crux35
or the tinyape https://darwinfpv.com/products/tinyape-freestyle
Tiny Ape Freestyle is the first 2.5'' drone for Darwinfpv. In order to meet the needs of more friends and we have made multiple attempts. It comes with the Darwin ELRS2.0 F411 15A Bluejay AIO and the VTX006 which has 25-600mW output power. Drone Configuration: Weight: 50.3g (without batteries and paddles) Propeller: Ge
fair enough, but its good for what its made for. Flying in small spaces
or if you want just save up a little more to a 5 inch nazgul v2 its about 300$
nazgul 5 v2*
if I had the money I would get a Geprc Mark 5
Crux35 is probably good for u
one questin did you do turtle mode wile you where flying
I dont use turtle mode
also uhh
I was just poking around at the FC
and it started working
but it doesnt feel like its getting enough power to the motors
not getting enough power?
sorry didnt type it right
well when I do a full throttle punch it doesnt really go that fast
like it did before
yes
that wouldn't be because of a broken FC
ok nvm its not working again'
if you can touch it and it comes back, that sounds like some wires have been damaged
its an AIO board so fc and esc in one
or solder joints compromised
indeed 🙃
I checked all the cables and solders
also would be very unprobable for it to be because of damaged ESCs
usually they work or they don't
did you crash in water / snow at all @glacial wyvern ?
nope
wet grass?
i would wait for the crux35
i know how you feel XD
i have a 5 inch a tinywhoop and tinywhoop on the way from china just waiting to fly when i get the radiomaster ranger module
yeah same here
ok so I did something stupid
instead of waiting for a cheap drone to go in stock
I jsut
got a mark 5
i’m late to the party but was just browsing
i killed my first baby ape pro v2 by burning out a capacitor and voltage regulator….. all by not paying attention to the barrel of my soldering iron. has the same problem yours does — 5V comes from USB only, nothing at all on battery.
darwinfpv gave me a 10% discount to buy a new FC but i ended up buying a whole ‘nother baby ape. lol. i have some BECs on hand that i want to try to fix the old one with but i may ultimately end up replacing the stack completely at some point
may be hard to see, maybe not, but.., yeah lol i goofed bad
well I never soldered onto it and it still messed up so ima blame darwinfpv for that
