You can get a cheap soldering iron for like $25 from the hardware store, its better than nothing. Why is your antenna connected directly to the VTX? U.fl or MMCX on a coax offers easy replacement

Digital systems communicate both ways, so digital stuff that has two antennas has separate circuitry for each
