depends. what flight controller is that, and what pad was it?
It was the signal pad for the receiver
what flight controller is it? does it have other TX/RX pads?
I'm not sure but ill try to find out
I think there are two more rx pads
Some controllers, you can either remap the pin, or use a different UART. some you can't. If you can't, then the only other chance of saving the flight controller takes epic level soldering skills, and very steady hands.
You would need to find the trace on the board that feeds that pad, then extremely carefully scrape off the black paint to expose it without damaging it. It's likely thinner that a human hair, possibly thinner than a strand of spider silk. Then solder on like a single strand of copper from a stripped wire, and use that as your connection point. once you have it connected to your receiver, you coat it in epoxy so you can't break the wire off as easily, then just be super careful with it. It's super hard, but I have a quad that's been flying for several years like that.
alright good to know
😁 YAY!
