hi all,
would love some help with the binding process.

gloomy wyvern
#

Are you using "accst"

charred frigate
#

would love an eplanation what that means

gloomy wyvern

What is ACCESS Protocol? ACCESS stands for Advanced Communication Control, Elevated Spread Spectrum. It's the RF protocol that carries the signal from the radio to the receiver,

#

The predecessor of ACCESS is ACCST, which has been around for over 10 years.

charred frigate
#

ok

#

so the firmware on xm+ is with accst

#

i flashed the latest firmware

#

reminding that my radio is the t8 lite and not the one in the tutorial you sent me

#

if i had a screen i would be able to work my way around

gloomy wyvern
#

I honestly have never even see t8 lite before

charred frigate
#

same with me, teaching a friend and he came with this nonsense

gloomy wyvern
#

Hahaha

#

What part of the binding process are you at exactly?

#

I feel like not having a screen display on the controller is a big downside lol

charred frigate
#

flashed the reciver have no idea how to flash the internal model

#

looking for someone who has done the full prosses

#

oscar liang has said its compatiable

cunning jewel
#

file names, etc

#

I deal with FRSKY and Multi-protocol stuff all the time.

charred frigate

Xm+_accst_2.1.2_fcc_rssi8.frk

cunning jewel
#

That's a ACCST V2 firmware, so on the radio, in Model Setup, you need to pick FRSKY X2 D16 @charred frigate

charred frigate
#

So its the t8 litr

#

There is no screen

cunning jewel
#

how do you configure it if it doesn't have a screen?

#

or is it not configurable?

charred frigate
#

So on the bind button i cans set it to d16/8 both dont bind

cunning jewel
#

I saw that you sent a video of a T-Lite so I assumed it was the same way

cunning jewel
#

D16/D8 selection usually means that it only supports V1 firmware

#

so you need to flash the receiver to V1 firmware

#

on FRSKY's XM+ website, that's under the "history firmware download" link

charred frigate
#

What file should i use?

cunning jewel
#

XM+FCC170313-RSSI16.frk

#

that's what I always used anyway

charred frigate
#

Bind in 16/8?

cunning jewel
#

D16

charred frigate
#

It says data refused

#

When i try to flash

cunning jewel
#

is it really an XM+?

charred frigate
#

Yes

cunning jewel
#

how are you flashing it?

#

apparently this can happen when the file is damaged

charred frigate
#

Through tx16

#

Will re install file to sd card

cunning jewel
#

discord removed the + from the name lol

#

try to give the file a shorter name too

#

apparently sometimes this can also be caused by a faulty SD

charred frigate
#

Ok success with flash

#

Now i try binding

#

When i start binding reciever red light starts flashing

#

But no connection is made after restarting

#

Success

cunning jewel
#

^^

charred frigate
#

Thank you so very much

cunning jewel
#

glad I could help 🙂

charred frigate
#

Any idea to why i cant see the channels respond on betaflight?

cunning jewel
charred frigate
#

Yup

cunning jewel
#

What FC is it and how is the receiver wired up?

charred frigate
#

Mabmba f4 mk 2

#

You might have a point on wiring

cunning jewel
#

send pics of the wiring and configuration

#

if you want to

charred frigate
#

Conected to tx

#

Not s bus

#

What a rookie
