Better now, than later when server on again? 💪🏻

Hi, everyone! We had a server maintenance that was just completed. Could you check again to see if the servers are working again? 🙏
Hi, yes it works thanks you !
It has happened too many times already. Server maintenance either doesn't get announced anywhere or gets announced in just a few places (Twitter/Discord). Then people start freaking out and flooding the forums (and I assume Saber Support) with "connection problem" complaints. People from regions where the government is hostile to free Internet start freaking out and wondering if it's their authorities blocking the game's modules or having issues with the game itself.
Please relay back to your team that it's quite literally getting on people's nerves. If no one is telling community managers that server maintenance will take place, they should.
anyone stucked in "joining server"?
Hi, @hard surge! Thank you for sharing this feedback. 🙏
We usually post about server maintenance on Twitter/X and Discord, but the latest one came a little bit late in my timezone, so I didn't see it and wasn't able to share it on time.
It was my bad, and I am sorry if that made people feel stressed with the online servers.
I will check with the team to see what we can do to improve this kind of communication in the future.
Hello, @wild patrol! If you are still experiencing a connection to the server issue, please check if this article can help: https://support.saber.games/hc/en-us/articles/4419003901713-World-War-Z-Aftermath-Connection-Issues. 🙏 Let me know when possible!
Thank you for the response. What happened to the "collective" Saber accounts on Steam, Reddit, and here as well? It looks like nothing has been posted from them for quite a while. Has the company abandoned them completely?
Anyway, this is what can be done to address the problem immediately: maintenance announcements should also be posted on Steam, in the "news" section (where patch notes get published), and on the main subreddit as a post with the "Dev" flair. The ultimate solution to address this problem is to have a section for maintenance announcements directly in the game, too. It can be a separate area reserved for banner messages or a running line at the top of the main menu screen.
You're welcome!
I can't give you answers regarding that other topic, I'm sorry!
I will consider your suggestions and see what we can do. I think one thing that could also work would be for the server maintenance messages to appear in the 'Message of the Day' in-game section.
I will be checking that with the team!

I believe it's possible and should be straightforward to implement, but players might miss that because that element cycles through more than 1 message. Still better than nothing
Multiplayer does't work anymore?
