#Early Game EXP buffs/leveling curve

So let's get straight to the point.

I believe the early game exp buff, especially level 1-15, is completely useless and does more harm than it helps anyone.

It makes the entirety of weedridge completely obsolete, and with it all the quests and bosses.

You kill your first mob, instantly lvl 3. Kill 2 more dodos, instantly level 6. You can get to level 10 in like 5 minutes, invalidating the entire early game.

You dont learn much about quests, you don't experience all of the mobs in weedridge, it just... It's way too quick.

It also sets false expectations for leveling. You're breezing through the first 10 levels in a flash by simply killing a few mobs, and after that you're faced with the harsh reality of questing/grinding mobs for exp.

I do believe we should move the exp buffs a bit. 10-31 and then 31-50 for example. That way, those who get their aoe later (explo/noble) benefit the same way as saint/merc. And it also gets you all the way through your cc skilltree before ending the exp buff.

I said it once and I'll say it again, exp buffs are just poor take on leveling issue. Quest rewards needs adjustments otherwise people never gonna touch them, and they won't learn some of game mechanics by ignoring entirely early levels.
Quests can do introductions to ask game mechanics way better than exp boost ever will, it's killing 2 birds with 1 stone, you get natural tutorial, and decent exp. Can also sprinkle some additional item rewards also, because a lot of people have problems getting decent set or weapon early game (like till lvl 80).
It's more work but it's way this should be done in the first place, everything else will be bad in one way or the other

Yeah, making quests more worthwhile would be a step in the right direction.
They also need to work on the dependancies of some quests.

Locking some chester quests because I haven't done a random lvl 50 quest in Avery is just bad design. Either that, or there are quests in the game you just generally can't do

At least they gave us the Hunter quests.

Jeremy already said they'd work on quest rewards when I suggested they include 1 free boss weapon for lanoir, brenin etc.

Agreeing with the quest thing. I did quest‘s the first time I ever played till a certain lvl (50-60). Since then I just go full aoe without touching any quest, it’s just faster and more rewarding. The hunter quests are apparently really good though (didn’t tried them)

As someone who really loves weedridge and wants an elite dungeon of it sweetfrog, I agree that the whole quest system needs a little revamp.

I also feel like leveling till level 40 is pretty fine even without buffs but there is little to no motivation afterwards

Especiallly between lvl 50 till like lite dungeon 1-3

Most of the quests after lvl 65 give at most 4%, are rare and not worth the hassle unsless you want some new stimulus besides aoe lol

The hunter quests are already a good first step to motivate people to aoe

Also the item/gelt rewards are basically forgettable. You really want to motivate new/casual players in the mid to pre-end (till like lvl 105) game to make them sensless AP hungry players in the end game aka ED3/4 and pvp 06

Early game is really not relevant anymore. Only new players actually go through it, but to be honest, most of the player base owns multiple characters and has already gone through all of it countless times. Ideally, there should be a shortcut. For example, you could apply to have a character start at level 80 if you already have a maxed character. Everything else doesn’t make sense
