#Make Mine detonatable

Maybe not the change we need, but mine could really use a rework. For being the strongest aoe skill that exca's possess, it really doesnt feel all that good. The prep time is way too long, the hit box feels weird and most of the time, i'd rather not use it and take longer to kill the mobs instead of potentially dying because casting takes too long.
Running ahead and placing the mine is pretty easy and 100% hit rate is so strong. It’s more then strong enough and for sure the best aoe imo (for exca)
Doesnt feel all that easy in tight spaces like ED1 though. The damage is good and all, but compared to the other cc aoe skills it feels weird. Just my personal opinion though. Doesnt feel nearly as good as Lightning recall, Sudden darkness, Wrath of earth, hell even Deceitful penalty feels better for me.
hell even Deceitful penalty feels better for me.
I had to laugh, sorry 😂
mine is one of the better aoe skills for sure. its a guaranteed hit and cant miss, deals flat dmg that is not reduced by anything (but can also not crit). while ofc a burn effect or something added to it would be cool i think mine is overall one of the better cc aoes in the game. its one of the reasons why exca were always able to aoe much higher enemys with an ok kill-time because of its guaranteed hit
I don’t know if everyone understood what i meant, it basically is just a quality of life Change 🥲
i'm not complaining about the guaranteed hit part, not about the damage or the armor pen, i just think the skill feels off. Exca is all about being fast and having high mobility, running around all the time and being able to aoe mobs without getting hit, and I think having to stop for ~4 Seconds is pretty counterintuitive. In that time, you're vulnerable. Miscalculate the time the mobs need to get to you, and you can easily get stunlocked and die.
In addition, at least for me, it rarely looks like the mine detonates once the mobs touch them. It's always a bit laggy. The first 5 mobs step on the mine, then the wonky explode animation happens, then they take damage, sometimes without even having that fire animation. It's just really vague
