"Griefing - deliberate actions that disrupt gameplay or violate server rules to hinder the progress of others - is strictly prohibited. All players are expected to support a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for everyone.
Any behavior intentionally designed to interfere with or ruin another player’s gameplay will not be tolerated. The game team reserves the right to determine what qualifies as griefing and to take appropriate disciplinary action when necessary."

The current griefing policy is very general and lacks the necessary detail to fairly address many ongoing disputes among players, especially around Elite Avery and across different server types (PvP servers 1 and 2 versus PvE server 3).

For example, some players at Elite Avery claim that monsters should only be tanked for a maximum of 3 minutes, after which it’s acceptable to “steal” the kill or loot. Others argue that it’s allowed to AoE pulled monster groups on any server, PvP zone or not, and that the player with the most damage therefore has the right to loot, regardless of other considerations.

There are frequent debates about what is permitted: players claim they have recordings, clips, or that it’s allowed to “steal” with Cry of Courage, reset mobs, or claim a spot based on who kills monsters in fewer Cry of Courage runs. These vague or conflicting interpretations cause confusion and frustration.

Could you please consider providing more specific, detailed guidelines clarifying:

What exactly counts as griefing in these contested scenarios

How these rules apply differently on PvP servers 1 and 2 versus the PvE server 3, as also mentioned by Urahara

How to fairly handle situations where multiple players contest the same hunting spot under various claims and tactics

Clearer rules would greatly improve the fairness and enjoyment of gameplay for everyone and reduce ongoing conflicts that are currently difficult to moderate.

Thanks for your feedback! To answer your question:

We’ve reworked the old code of conduct with the goal of simplifying things - basically fewer rules for every little situation, but still detailed enough when it comes to general guidelines. In the end it’s all about finding the right balance: helping players understand the overall expectations while leaving room for support to step in when unique situations come up. If we tried to write out every possible scenario we’ve ever received a report about, it would be a hundred pages and nobody wants that.

About players saying stuff like "you can only hold certain monsters for 3 minutes" - that’s not in the rules, so don’t rely on what other players say. Always go by the official rules. They're the same across all servers - no exceptions.

Now, about the situations you mentioned: the main thing we care about is fair play. That should always be your top priority. We know things aren’t always black and white, and yeah - you can contest a leveling spot by simply outdamaging the other group. That’s totally allowed. As the rules say:
“The player or party that deals the most damage will always get the loot and experience points from monsters.”

That said.. if someone’s deliberately tanking mobs without even trying to kill them, just to block others - that could be considered griefing. In cases like that, support will review the situation accordingly.

I mean, we get that not everyone plays fair. If that happens, you’ve basically got two options: Record what’s happening and send it to support or swap servers.
If someone’s following you through servers just to mess with you, that’s considered targeted griefing - and that would not be okay.. but luckily stuff like that is pretty rare.

Conclusion: The Code of Conduct will stay as it is (with slight adjustments here and there).

Now just a little note from me as a player, not as part of the team:

Honestly, not just me but also most of the people I’ve had the pleasure of playing with almost never had issues with the rules - and if we did, we usually knew exactly why! (^^) There are only a few rare situations where you might be unsure if something’s okay or not, and in those cases, it’s super easy to just ask and get clarity.

Like I mentioned, those situations are really uncommon. We actually had a good chat about this in Discord around half a year ago, and a lot of players shared the same thought:
If you’re not trying to cause trouble, you probably won’t run into any.
