I'd say the majority thinks girls could use some changes + better outfits, I really don't think Alkimia planned every girl to be "ugly"
Also, Ziddy said that there might be other girls in the castle that serve other roles.

I mean WIP or not, something could change in the remake in regards to what type of women end up in the colony. The OG kinda assumes only the pretty ones, but maybe in the remake some women with really messed up crimes are sent too --- and I guess these don't need to be pretty.
But that's a theory, I'm still in the "they need some changes" boat
