Ok so basically, i tried yesterday to merge them and gpt some help here, it worked completely fine.
Then, when i loaded the game back after quitting, it just didn't work.
I have 2 versions of the mod, one more recent, and using that one won't even let me get to the title screen.
The other one could let me play until i get the flasks, where i would just crash after going past the golden tree at the start.
I've been trying things for 4 hours straight and don't know what i could do, i would appreciate some help haha

I would still get a fresh copy of randomizer
and then just run that
no merged mods yet

make sure that works before messing with anything else
dinput8.dll is usually elden mod loader
which can cause conflicts with other things
I would get rid of it
the rando somehow remembers the settings i used even when i uninstall it lol, i found it weird at first
generally you want to load dll mods with modengine anyway
settings are probably stored elsewhere
well i think i sent you the mod, comes with a modengine pre installed but idk much about it so i'll try doing what you say
ah yeah it was the one I suggested adding through the toml
so that worked, but then later it didn't?
and you're absolutely sure you didn't change anything?

base game is working fine without dinput8.dll
i reinstalled the rando and it works fine alone
now i'm lost again, i don't wanna mess it up lol
just add the mod's toml file with the merge other mod option and see if that works

from the mod alone? or from where i extracted it (the game directory) ? or maybe it doesn't matter

because the toml references 2 dlls, but with relative paths
so not entirely sure how randomizer would know where to find them... maybe just based on the location of the toml itself I guess
I've never merged mods with the toml before

but it shouldn't matter

didn't know, the modder said to extract it here in the installation help
some modders don't know what they're talking about 
anyway it's fine, it's more for organization purposes

i chose the toml from the game folder and run with set seed
i'm waiting now ig
the easier thing would be for someone to try on his side and see if things work, but idk man i don't wanna ask that to someone lol

I don't think this mod is compatible with randomizer then
looking at the files, it has modified sound files, that means the mod is using a custom version of modengine2 that supports sound modding
randomizer does not use that version

considering this one already doesn't work for me, I don't need the other version
i got 2 makars instead of the tree sentinel and other enemies were randomized

but i think (not sure) that i was using the other version cause it didn' have the latest updates with some new bosses, so i left, merged with the newest one and then it didn't work
and given that the 2 mods work fine without one another, idk what is messing up
at first i thought it had something to do with the rando file but i'm not a modding pro so i wouldn't know if something would be weird
testing the possible workaround but idk how this playable bosses mod works lol

And the latest has other ones
