#DS1 NG+6 with NG soul yields?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
later games use a combination of soul multipliers in clearcountcorrectparam and ng+ scaling speffects, but I don't know if ds1 does it the same way
vaguely remember the former being hardcoded in ds1 but I could be wrong
There's some stuff here, it says ng+ but could editing parameters there affect the following cycles too?
yeah, so the way ng+ cycles work in these games is, the per-area ng+ multipliers in speffectparams apply to every ng+ cycle
and then there's a separate multiplier that increases in each cycle and applies to every enemy in the game
the latter has its own param in later games, but I think it's hardcoded in ds1
this is how they can apply higher multipliers to early enemies than later ones (with the speffects), while still increasing the difficulty of all enemies (with the global multipliers)
as for how that translates to what you want to achieve... I'm not entirely sure tbh
not having access to the global multiplier makes things messy
I see, alright
Thanks for the input!
setting changeSoulRate to 1x in the speffects would at least remove that multiplier
I don't know if the global multiplier also applies its own soul multiplier
actually yeah, it must
since you get more souls with every ng+ cycle compared to the last
but it will be a smaller multiplier, maybe 10% per cycle or something
the biggest increase comes from the speffects
