my game is fully unpacked, so I don't get it
the mod project folder is empty

Looks like your project directory isn't setup correctly (the path appears to be null or empty), which is causing that crash.

I did try to reopen the recent project after another crash (empty folder) instead of doing a new one
maybe that's why

I did notice there is a bug with saving some of the parts though, it wasn't writing the new FLVER for them. I've added a fix for this in the next release.
