Basically what you need it’s the audio recording of the movie
Then you need the audio recording of the music during the recording *
Then you would use audacity to use both those to remove the dialogue
Typically this is done in the reverse order, to extract the dialogue from the cutscene, but I believe you can do it in this direction too
I forgot the exact process, but look up “isolating dialogue” or the inverse of that and “audacity”. There probably is a better paid for program, but unsure.
Regardless, since you’re trying to isolate the rest of the stuff from the dialogue, there may be an issue with SE, however it could be baked in to the rest of the sound itself?
This is as much as I can tell you. Maybe @dense karma or @silent remnant have further insights since they have more professional experience in audio work than me
just ask your users to turn off the audio 
Somehow I got isolated dialogue though I can’t remember how. I do remember being pissed off at the quality tho
Easiest and cleanest to do if you have the dialogue seperate from the rest. If you had the OG recorded dialogue you can play it back at reverse polarity to remove it (assume audio wasn't too beaten by post-processing with the voiceline in it)
Yeah if the quality is booboo of the OG dialogue then an AI might be your best choice

Yes if there's not been any alterations to the in-game OST to make place for the dialogue then you can def extract the dialogue cleanly
Oh so they're not one audio file? Then it's become a million times easier
Just replace dialogue with silence if you want a 3IQ fix

I'll need to read up on bik, the wmv should be no issue other than my ffmpeg build not supporting ancient formats
What I'll do is extract the audio channels from the wmv, remove any vocs and stitch it back on

I took ffmpeg and just yoinked the audio channel, once it's done I just replace the OG audio channel with the voice-less version
I can maybe take a look at pam and bik this weekend

PAM is an authentication daemon for linux, I've used it quite a bit. the file format PAM fromsoft uses is completely unrelated.

I tried extracting it from the BIK on easy-mode yesterday evening but to no avail
Requires me to write my own parser to be able to do it on linux. Gonna just throw it at an AI
