Thanks for the reply, I tried to use yabber to unpack it, and this is what I got
So I am assuming that there is a file include the special move/effect for the Serpent Hunter
What I am thinking right now is that I can unpack the outdated "sfxbnd_commoneffects.ffxbnd.dcx" from Nexus, find the file that I need in the old "sfxbnd_commoneffects.ffxbnd.dcx" and copy them into the current "sfxbnd_commoneffects.ffxbnd.dcx", problem is I don't know which of the .fxr files are relevant to the Serpent hunter
Is there anyway that I can find it?

unless you're trying to merge stuff you probably don't need to open up the ffxbnd, honestly
it will likely work with the current version of the game
if you're using mod engine 2, you just place the mod's ffxbnd into a mod\sfx (if that folder doesn't exist, just create it)
Yeah, actually I am trying to merge this to other mods, that's why I am trying to find out the sfx file for Serpent Hunter

well, if you compare that bnd's contents with a vanilla one you'll be able figure out which file is new
somebody might know it off-hand though
looks like cmd COMP will compare the folders easily enough though

So, I compared the 2 files and figured out which file is new, and I merge those file into the vanilla ver. of sfxbnd_commoneffects.ffxbnd.dcx file, and turns out it can damage the enemies far away and also have the sound effect like it does in the Rykard boss fight , but the visual effect of the wind is gone.
When adding new files to a bnd, you need to edit the yabber xml to include them
So I have to add every new items into this xml file?

sure thing. also maybe while you're here, what were the FXR IDs? I have a feeling this won't be the first time somebody comes in here asking how to do this
So there are 1733 FXR files, and there also have other items in the other folder in hkx, model etc
Would you like the id or?
Just the names of the fxr files the mod added
@past oar would you mind sharing the id of the fxr to make the serpent hunter work? Im trying to merge it with mine aswell ๐
