The utility update for Twin Sword Vella has brought a change to the activation of backlash.
My proposal would be to offer an option in controls for the player to choose the old method of backlash activation, as well as the modern method that the developers implemented with the rework.
This way, players can choose the control scheme they prefer.
Personally, since I play on keyboard mode, the old method was much more intuitive for me.

Tried an Eisen solo for fun, I love how spamming space locks you in position after each dodge for half a second 🙂
Makes it easy for Eisen to aim that OHKO. Will update if I do manage to get used to it.

Yup. In 2014 when we got our revamp, they changed which mouse button triggered windmill. Took a while to unlearn that XD

definitly it should be optional cus its so annoying! accidental kicks and response delay cause getting to much hits, especially cant escape from sreng's "punch of death" also there are some other problems like if i try to counter so fast " space > xcut > double cross multiple time or Space > xcut > Space > xcut " char stop responding my commands for a sec at some point,

Imagine it being worse on keyboard mode and controller mode.
I don't know if the developers tested this beyond just keyboard and mouse mode.

it makes hard to change direction when we need to fast dodge around like jordra's love chase, i m pressing "e" sometimes cus i never use kick in battle till now and sometimes pressing "r" instead of "e" .
Also that "gust stink" link still active and breaks counter combo, i talk with some vella players in game, looks like im the only one who had that issue cus they said they dont have any problem about it.
