I know some people find the content completely gated.

theyre not adding QB reqs to normal battles which is a good thing, KR has them and people over there dont care. But this is really the most important thing, because it still means that players can still engage in 115 battles.

I have no idea why H+ Sreng does triple the damage of Eisen and the amount of pay to win packages you see in the supply depot are pretty insulting and damnable and a first in a long time. While Sreng has stupid stats and isnt even that hard, at the same time, there isnt much point for people to engage in Sreng if they dont have an Orna piece to upgrade. Players naturally wanting to gate Sreng from new players is okay, but between the shitty 110 battles and the 4 115 raids there really isnt that much content. Same goes for Special Dungeons, idk why those have Sreng stats.

I dont like how they got rid of bonus departures from weekly and revernt tower rewards but that was before 120

I didn't like that some Drops can only be obtained when using the Core boos this shouldn't be a conditional element but a Optional thing for the player to chose x10 runs its not enough the system was originally meant to be an assistance element to counter the miserable drop rates . and its just simply not that good, it wouldn't make sense for you to use more departs either now that this is a thing . its completely pointless, now you need to farm in alts and stuff if you actually want to get stuff, and as people pointed out how stupid sreng stat reqs are yes this is gonna be a pain in the butt of a battle if you don't have decent stats. cant wait to see people selling their crafting services in megas for a very high cost lol.

I'm not thrilled w/ the update myself, between the BS depot which I've already complained about, and the the ridiculousness of Sreng it's a pain. I miss deific devotion, at least after 25 battles of crap I knew I was going to get SOMETHING. Now you just don't know any more, idm the pity drops they were useful for those of use who had gone 70 some battles and saw no elixirs. YES I counted it was god awful. I don't want to play alts, I still feel they're trying to kill the game slowly but surely. They're trying to kill it so they can move on as a company and sweep it under the rug. When Vindy dies so will my desire for online gaming. I do not foresee any thing new taking it's place. I'll stick to my solo games and only talk w/ those who still want to stay connected. I'm in it for the long haul, but I don't see this ever getting easier, only harder and more annoying. FYI I'm not asking for handouts or anything, I just want it to make sense, and right now it doesn't make sense. Don't forget New STD battle will probably be here in December, if I understood the video right. 🙄 If they did one thing right they finally got a voice over for the "english" version of the video.

At this point, it's just another update for me. Quite a few unnecessary changes though some are kind of appreciated. I'd rather have pitty drop system back than core system. The changes to crafting are.. weird. It's nice to be able to craft runes and the goib stones, but the removal of certain items to accomodate the changes to keep enhancing from being too easy is meh. Cool that Battle Circuit isn't going to be locked behind stat requirements.

RARs are cool and I think the early resets aren't a bug/glitch/mistake and should be considered a feature but Sreng does need to be fixed. Other than that, another update - another Tuesday.

I don't like that the Artesian Crafting can only be done one per character. idc if I can capture my 399 expertise and move it. I don't want to deal w/ that, I don't play on my alts, I play on main. I don't find any other character enjoyable, I don't want to ask people for help in my crafting. It's one of the few things I find enjoyable in vindictus. Back in the day I even spent a ton of gold on maxing cooking out and it still eats me alive that you couldn't get to 99. The crafting system imo was also VERY poorly explained, there is so much new shit they should've done a better job at getting the information to us. I plan to make videos but this stuff isn't easy to make videos on as it is a very expensive video to make. I like the outfit crafting, I also agree that one person that said "core boost shouldn't be for special rewards".

And why the hell are Professional Crafting Materials and Enhancement Elixirs still in Specail? What purpose do they have now a days, especially considering they raised the Stat Reqs for what to gather trash? there's such an over abundance of Prof crafting materials it's stupid. You can get them in regular raids just like Beginner, Journeyman, Apprentice. Professional materials are spread across far more battles than any of the other three, so there's NO reason for them to be in special.

I feel like this game really shot itself in the foot with this update. The crafting changes are exceedingly obtuse. There really was no reason to change the way crafting had been working for the last 10 years. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Vindi is been around for 14 years now. Something like crafting should be set in stone at this point. Drastic changes generally don't go over very well in older games. It drives players away and makes it harder for anyone who remains. Boats are already taking longer to fill up and the RaR moves much slower.

So I have to level a bunch of crafters if I want any of this gear. It is annoying.

Yeah I can try find someone else to do it but that is huge hassle

Should be an NPC that can craft

gloomy pelican

when you have abundance in crafters

#

will always have a guy afk in ch1 24/7 with a stall you just use

#

unless you're playing on EU KekDoggo

#

actually don't even need to wait that long cause in 3 weeks when people get enough of those bound sreng essences you'll start seeing the crafters popping up

Core system is just a masked fatigue system

pseudo oyster
#

update isn't that bad in general, but more restrictive features is the last thing this game needed tbh we will see the impact of these changes in these next weeks, crazy tho that on day one server felt super dead compared to other level expansions

#

I find Shreng to be a fun encounter but the new core boost system is just a renamed fatigue system and I hate it a lot. Also losing the garrenteed drops at the same time is insulting. While maybe nothing changed, the number of rares that my friends and I have seen post update have been exceedingly low.

#

great update

#

deific was junk it was bait most of the time since almost all of the drops you got from it were worth next to nothing, good riddance

#

core boost is fine, you get to focus farm whatever you want/consider best value

#

you also get to gear yourself with guaranteed drops from weeklies which is awesome, no rng upgrades, 10/10

#

wish most of these things didn't take so long to become a thing

#

crafting system is kind of pointless but it's not exactly bad, you just craft at a player instead of an npc who cares

#

they quite literally make gearing a lot easier, less rng reliant and some people will still complain, not sure what they want at this point

magic ridge
dim whale
#

you just don't lock main rewards behind a limited thing that's not even guaranteed

#

also I'm ironically dropping more without core boost (at least in orna raids) than with and I'm not alone on that

#

at which point I genuinely have to refuse to think it's a coincidence

honest sonnet
#

Core boost is terrible mechanic. It is basically a stealth way of bringing back mission depart tokens. Remember the OG fatigue system where you had to put in a token to do a mission. They just bringing that back under a new name with a slightly different twist. That is what core boost is.

magic ridge
#

remember you can no longer get depa boosts and whatnot

#

you get 10 boosts and you can technically run sreng 8 times even if you use a shared alt, when a new 120 comse out it'll be 10, when we get a 3rd you'll be right

#

then again sreng essence is guaranteed via just playing through weekly stuff, the alr2 thing is messed up though cause there's not gonna be enough supply for it (drop rate is too low and we're gonna need way too many)

#

arguing core boost is fatigue in disguise is... idiotic, might as well call the limited departure system fatigue in disguise as well and that's been a thing since day 1

#

in which case nothing's changed

As a more casual player (especially when it comes to Orna gear), I really like this system replacing deific devotion. It means that so long as I'm hitting my weekly quota, I'm guaranteed to make the progress I want, it's much more rewarding to those who play less.

However. I only run 7 raids daily. A friend of mine runs the full 28(?) possible raids daily. Do the math on that and their yield drops from 33.5 "pity" drops, to 13, a reduction by 2.5. That doesn't account for the fact that they only get to core boost 1/3 of their runs. I'm all for supporting those who play less, like me, but the current system of punishing those who more actively play is stupid. Don't they WANT the hardcore players to be encouraged to play more?

dim whale
#

Apparently not. I'm joking about it, but the jokes are writing themselves, honestly. 1st they remove hero (non plus) mode with the potential to gain a departure ticket. 2nd they replace weekly departure tickets with beloved resenlian scrolls.

Don't worry, I'm sure they'll come up with another annoying gremlin race event that has 1 month worth of empty rewards in it, because: why not?

I just think that the stat requirements are too steep, for Sreng and all special battles.

7150 additional damage and some of the other requirements are just too much.

Also, I think I preferred the previous Deific Devotion system, I'm not so sure about this core boost system.

honest sonnet
#

I am surprised they don't sell core boosts in the depot the same way they sell departure license.
Extra departure licenses are kind of useless without the core boost.

At first I thought it was not released at all and the level cap + Seng was an oopsie. This is not what I expected. Pardon me but I play part time wow and when they say level cap update, they mean an entire expansion. I honestly expected a whole new zone, whole new story line, new raid bosses (plural), new (not recycled) group que raids, new redeemers, new hair styles, inners, armor, and above all, most of it accessible in some way shape or form. This was a massive letdown. I got level 120 in less than 48 hours whilst others did it under 24 hours. There are no new skills, talents, -nothing! The new boss is a whining joke. He sounds like an angry nerd rather than someone out for blood. No new movies, animation, nothing! Just “here’s some crap, most of which you can’t even see unless you’ve been playing since day 1 or are a whale, aaand…. Ya buy our gacha with 0.05% chance of getting what you want”. Will this deter me from playing? No of course not. Will this deter me from buying packages? Absolutely.

dim whale
#

That's been like that for ages since astera almost. Your "changes" at best are the new characters every zoomer demands to keep playing their rpgs like if there's nothing else besides those

dull finch
#

the new crafting system makes absolutely no sense within vindictus... needing to set up "stalls" that arent actaully stalls... like this isnt maplestory where the only means of trading is done through person to person interactions or person-to-store

#

what they should have done is just integrate the new crafting requests into the marketplace

torpid steeple

That's a giant step backwards.
