the best budget vps provide i know is ovh

but they use an intel cpu that is like 10ish years old

It depends on a usage, but in my opinion, Hetzner & OVHcloud combo is the best one

If you need a smaller server, get from OVH, unless get from Hetzner

I would make sure that you'd get the right cpu for the vps.
Most vps providers offer server cpus, like amd epyc and stuff.
Preferably, you do not want that. Instead look for something that is a consumer cpu as they are more focused on single core speed which is what you want for a bedorck server

I think only drawbacks are incomplete camera command and longer update times then vanilla BDS? Aside from that there isn't any real drawbacks

The SSH extension lets you directly access the files of the server inside of the workspace, and use the regular VSCode terminal keyboard shortcuts and text input controls, like ctrl+backspace, deleting selected text, etc.
