Acting to Diamond as Copper does to Iron, Iridium is a weaker, but far more disposable material, helping to bridge the gap between Diamond and Iron. Iridium's great base enchantability stat makes to well suited to midgame Enchanting Table use, allowing for most Enchantments to be used earlier in progression without wasting them on much weaker Iron tools, or on Diamond tools, which many would prefer to use max level Enchanted Books. Iridium is found in the Deepslate layer, between -60 and -5, and is the most common in the middle of this distribution.
