- the nautilus needs a nerf because it makes way too many other ways to breathe underwater kind of useless?
- the spear needs a buff because as it is, it seems like just a gimmick item where the gimmick doesn't seem that strong, they were struggling against basic mobs when using netherite spears

copper armor/tools are the first update to early game progression in years (and first tier of armor since 1.16)
copper golem is the first golem added since the iron and snow golem, which feel like they've been in the game forever by this point
the nautilus is the first tamable mob since 1.12 (and, since parrots and llamas aren't all that useful, the first useful tamable mob since 1.6)
the spear is the first craftable tiered item since indev (only other one would be horse armor, but you can only craft leather so it doesn't really count as craftable)
the drop system certainly has helped them add things to systems that have been untouched in years.

they're adding 3 mobs:
- nautilus
- zombie nautilus
- zombie horse (technically already existed but can now actually spawn in survival instead of being a creative-only mob with no purpose)
Any texturizer who releases free textures interested in texturizing the Nautilus identically as shown in the live and we release an Add-On together with it? I would make the mechanics. so, the spear is one of the 2 major features this drop (the other being the nautilus, which we know is given a good amount of attention).
if it doesn't get unique enchants, it'll feel weirdly unfinished, since all other weapons have them.
again, can we appreciate that Mojang finally stopped with the whole "the drop is almost finished and we still don't have a name for it" thing (at least for this Mounts of Mayhem drop)?
we finally got an update announced at Minecraft Live, with the update name.
they haven't done that since the Wild Update i think?

so if a player is holding a pickaxe and a food in offhand
theres no way to figure out which item should be used

i think it'd be hard to solve this for bows.
for food, they kind of need an "eat" button that appears when holding food to solve this in any way.
but for bows, even that wouldn't really work
Like, assume you have this inventory (using BoB for spear)
the only item you have that doesn't lose durability when breaking blocks is the steak
but if the player's hunger is not full (and they dont want to use it) or if it was a potion/throwing pot/gapple...
then you have no way of breaking blocks without using up durability, or having to move items around in your inventory.
which, sure, it's a fixable problem usually, but it's something where this wouldn't be an issue on console/PC

they do not shoot arrow when they're in the water instead they slam you like withered skeletions

the entire point of underwater areas is that you have a limited air meter.
why would you ever get a turtle shell for 10s of water breathing, if you can just get a few pufferfish to tame a nautilus and get infinite water breathing

you still gonna find a tropical area which is rare. it's also where pufferfish spawns too if i recall.

you can see in the hotbar, the spear goes on cooldown when you hit with it.
Very interesting as this makes it the only melee weapon with an attack cooldown on bedrock.
