Why can UI commissions be so expensive?
I often share code because UI is just my hobby, I didn't expect that simple things could be made and I think anyone can make it, it can be expensive.

For a UI form server and custom HUD, I only ever got paid $5 I think that's a fair price.

Well yeah maybe for you, it all depends really. Time you spent, quality of your work etc are main factors. Plus json ui is more of a niche and with any market, the less competition the higher you can arguably charge.

Also I do share code too, I’ve released a few public ui packs before but if someone wants something specific that’s when I’d take it up as a commission

Yes, the conversion of dollars to local currency also has a significant impact
in my country (Indonesia), 1 dollar is enough for breakfast and lunch, which might be very different from America and Europe.

I usually charge around $35-40/h, everyone values their time differently and obviously if for you $5 bucks for a ui is enough then you go for it, I wouldn't even open my editor for $5 as it would just be more of a headache to put out an invoice, at that point I would just work on other stuff or my own projects

last ui i did was 80$ fixed and i think i did it in 2-3days
