There's not much to understand. They are just more accurately timestamping actions, meaning they are adding the deltas inbetween your frames to your timestamps. and inbetween the ticks where they send out data, they do more accurate server side reconstruction of events. In reality the tickrate / sync intervals haven't changed

found that it has trouble updating seamlessly after about 50k update packets per second.

I sent a message to navi to see if they can make it so shapes are batched into a single packet but didn't hear anything back, not sure if that's something they'd be willing to do or not

I have some ideas on how we can use it for some internal tooling on Galaxite but even that would require sending hundreds of packets, which is slightly annoying

the biggest hurtle for me for maps and whatnot is the having to strip it from builds for release since its a beta module but thats something I think can be worked around.
I think batching would be great but also perhaps some way of making groups via the api?

Kinda weird that due to the way first person rendering on items works that vibrant visuals pretty much removes the shadow from the item

The mob or is that a feature from deferred, I haven’t been up to date with the deferred changes lately, I only heard about the pixelated shadows

How does that relate to the stairs/slabs? Does colored lighting have issues with rendering them
The main thing is that colored lighting and vanilla block light follow different rules. E.g. block light can literally light things up behind a wall, while colored lighting doesn't have any ambient lighting and requires a direct line of sight. In other cases, colored lighting might pass through blocks that vanilla block light can't. There is also a big difference in range and brightness

Not sure if it was just me or not but everytime i join the world and play on fancy graphical mode, the sky always go little dark like it's raining even though it is not.
Had to clear the weather just to fix it. this happens everytime i join the world.

it's usually weather desync things from the past but this preview is uh, always happen.
No normal sky whatsoever for me, just only rain-ish weather without rain.
I don't see this issue on VV either so that's quite confusing.
Uhm. So, apparently pretty much all add-ons from the marketplace don't work anymore after this update.
They quite literally just crash my game before the world even starts loading.
Not only the marketplace add-ons, but also a few community ones as well.
Like the free version of better on bedrock
It's not even a matter of downloading the packs: just their presence alone is enough to crash the whole game.
As far as I can tell, this only happens on the console edition of the game (specifically PS5). Do keep in mind that the world I'm trying to join is hosted on a PC.
Also, my friend that is on the same device as me appears offline.. Even though he literally isn't.

Most of the tools we use are publicly available, or created on a per team basis
Chunker was partner only for a while, so was the bedrock editor and ofcourse the debug versions of the game aren’t public
The bedrock editor was never private only
As for debug builds. They contain sensitive information so they can't be publicly available

All I'm saying is that they can't just release the debug build of the game. You saw what they did with server pdb files. I would advocate for releasing the "debug" features from it. Probably via bedrock editor

I'd much prefer if debug features were publicly available, but they're stuck inside the debug builds until Mojang finds a way and the time to release them proper

It makes sense why they wouldn't want to publicly reveal upcoming changes. As for roadmaps, we recently got a roadmap with creator features that's accessible publicly to everyone.

Such a command doesn't exist in the public build, so it can't be used in marketplace packs. We can only use the bossbar component on mobs. A command would open up some opportunities for custom gameplay
I'm also not aware of any ai editor. We just combine behaviour components together and hope it works
if its like that command that they accidentally included in a "stable" version

Java has stuff like that too, but they disable it before shipping a version. However, since Java is written in Java, you can just use a mod to enable it.
Bedrock's debug features are probably behind a preprocessor flag and gets compiled out.
