they were not teleporting, they teleported the player after they got to the location i think

Is 'can build' the same as 'can interact,' or did you specify certain items for interaction?

yes, but idk it would requiere extra math and save old player position

and build is for placing blocks

yeah Ik but I had an issue if I give the player build perm and disable interact perm he can't build bc I canceled every interaction

you can use knockback, and input permssion

i use it in my own landclaim system, and it works good

i im just thinking about something and yes there is something that might work for you

for example instead of using the before interact event you should use ItemUseOn for Can Build

and use before player interact to detect when the player is interacting with non solid blocks you can use the property isSolid

and also detect with the block has an inventory component to avoid interacting with blocks
