Why wont it work?

I want to remove the item in the slot, i tried ```js
item.amount = 0

but i just got an error and when i used setItem nothing happend

container.setItem(slot, new ItemStack('minecraft:air'))

wait ill try

Nothing happens,

but when i use dirt instead of air it works but i get dirt

[spare owl]

container.setItem(slot)

[silent valley]
