I have a 3070 though, and RTX runs fine with volumetric fog

one is pink, the second is green, the third is blue, another is orange and there is even rose gold
and each one looks completely different
idk if they are the best, but the absorption allows me to get beautiful and much better colors

That's been possible for a while and has been implemented for everything except players and block entities in Defined PBR, as well as a few other packs

you can make clouds have their own effect on fog
Absorption just takes away the rgb values from the sunlight, scatter intensifirs it from whag i can tell
So if white light hits your fog, and your absorption values are 1,1,0 your fog will be blue
wait what i thought it would be yellow it absorbed red and green
so fr no point to increase those values

According to the docs absorption doesn't support rgb and instead uses luminance of supplied color

yea, it's really cool how it takes the color of the sun by default
Also absorption doesn't just decrease volumetric rays, it also absorps color emitted from objects. So for example if absorption is high and scattering is 0, terrain will just become very dark at distance

the main effects of the rays are max_density and scattering

It probably just multiplies scattering color by 1-absorption, but for actual volume calculation uses single luminance value

Eh, it gets confusing. Volumes really have 2 colors, one for scattering and one for absorption, so I wasn't sure which one you were talking about

I'm not sure if it's something that can be fixed at the moment. The ambient sky light has constant influence throughout the fog and can't be controlled so easily

the disappointing thing is the glowing effect still not there on android
though performance wise, actually seems to be improved a lot.
I could now use render distance on 12 without dropping down to 10fps below
I haven't used beta in a while because I can't be bothered to join and leave the beta program. It's one of those things I won't miss
using ultra shadows and ultra fog really hits performance
turned my shadows and fog into ultra
i can now see fogs
at the same time uh I randomly getting the entire world black.
not sure why but rejoining the world sometimes fixes that.

- 4gb of ram
- must have atleast 256 of MCWGI (long text so not gonna do that)
- 720p screen
- Mali-GPU and snapdragon GPU.

I remember back in 1.20.12 I had an attempt to try deferred on my crappy laptop I had the screen at the lowest resolution and was using better render dragon to enable deferred and it was at 10 FPS

So I had a second account friended together with mine and have it join a world. It appeared in the old friends menu but nothing in the new one. I was only able to join when I explicitly gave an invite.
But maybe it has something to do with the other account being on 1.20.41. 🤷♂️

either this isn't implemeted in the new ui or they only show if it is in the new version

Thats all I have to say on shaders though, otherwise everything else is amazing (Minus the massive fps drops as soon as you go to ultra quality on an rtx 3070)

I feel like instead of having a "search for players" button that would then open up another menu, it would be easier to just have the search bar there and auto filter based on text entered. It would take up the same amount of space as the button and be easier to access.

The old friends tab was replaced with the realms tab
And you can join players who you're not even directly friends with

I just personally think there's isn't a need to see a total amount. Knowing the number of online players is more important
in that case i prefer removal of number in title
and keep just online friends and offline
