Not possible, unless you use a workaround that involves the player hitting an entity tped or sitting in front of them and that entity doing the actual attack
Perhaps you can use a combination of scripts[such as the GetEntitiesFromRay] and item events to deal damage at a further range.
In fact, I could try to come up with a script if possible and send it to you.
