18 months ago, I set out with a simple concept: take code, convert it to commands; all free and open source. Today, I release the first battle-tested production-ready build of the software, 1.11! Including 64 unique commands mirroring the Minecraft style, inline operations, global variables, functions with parameters and return values, decimal variables, automatic time formatting, mcstructure generation, and a complete JSON-enabled preprocessor that can data-drive or automate just about anything; and that's just scratching the surface of what's possible.

IDE

MCCompiled offers a spiffy installer/updater and an open source language server that connects to a beautiful vscode-based IDE for creating your projects. Get live error checking, keyword information, automatic templating, and compilation straight to the development folders.

Interested?

This is a super niche thing built for individuals/professionals who want to push the limits of Minecraft's tech or need to get work out fast. However, if you're interested or want to check it out, the installation is super easy! Even a star on github helps a ton :)

#

the build-in Windows antivirus blocks it...

void escarp
#

Norton was not happy

No idea how to deactivate these

#

Well if anyone wants to risk themselves tell me if it's safe

rancid shuttle
#

does it block the actual executable or just the installer?

#

cus the installer does set PATH and add a couple keys to the registry

the installer is in .net 6 so you can open it in Jetbrains dotpeek if you don't trust it, though I can't get my windows defender to flag it

same with win 11

#

Windows and Norton both mark it

rancid shuttle
#

what "virus name" does defender mark it as?

rancid shuttle
#

okay it looks like I can remedy a lot of this by signing the files so I'll get on that

Norton is literally spyware

#

spying on my pc for virus'

#

yeah

😎

rancid shuttle
#

kind of offtopic but as long as you don't download suspicious stuff or pirate things there's no real need for anything beyond default windows defender

#

that said i cant ignore the fact that windows defender is screwing my software over lol

void escarp
#

Yeah, I didn't install Norton, when I built my PC and was setting up windows 11 It got installed automatically somewhere in there as a trial version
