#glass pane/iron bar geometry

Do you mean your version of that geometry..... if so..... You would use parts_visibility (which is moving to inside the geometry component for min-version ?).. and permutations to turn the connecting parts on and off and tags to determine if you are connected to a block.
Now the hard part is figuring if you are connected to a vanilla block
If you are trying to use their geometry file... no idea. I may be hardcoded. Check the vanilla pack model folder, if nothing there, then it is.
im just trying to recreate a block that would look like a glasspane, idc if it only connects to itself
could you pretty please give me a block json that would do that
i cant seem to wrap my head around this
I cannot deprive you of learning what you need to know for this. There are too many aspects to this.
Of course you can search this discord for things like fence, wall, panes, bars to find code and read other people's issues and solutions, may be full code there.
But.. for learning... practice permutations, rotation, tags, parts_visibility. I am willing to guide and help in that aspect.
You can find any add-on with a working fence to learn/copy what you need.
Honestly, I really doubt I am ever going to do anything with blocks ever again and just stick to scripts and json ui so I don't really want to spend hours learning how to do this
Yeah, am doing that right now
i give up ima just retexture one of the glass colors
I made a template for glass panes that I’ll post soon in #1072983602821861426, just waiting to get a few more templates ready in order to not post them all in different posts
