#How would I lessen or remove the nausea effect in portals.

I've a friend with many concussions and there doesn't appear to be a way to reduce nausea in settings anymore. Looking for a way to make it so they can go through portals without issues as the nausea causes problems for them.

You could send them through portals instantly with creative, so perhaps detect the portal block, set them to creative, and then set them back to survival

#

If you want, I can help you with this in a few (2) days

I'm not likely to get that past server admins. I was hoping that a clear effect command would remove the nausea but it doesn't effect it.
I don't know if I could have a grey screen come up. or a UI that covers the screen at least on the entering side.

You could definitely cover the screen with a custom title command

#

You might even be able to do that client side with a resource pack

That would be ideal as a resource pack. Haven't a clue how to let it know when the player is in a portal though.

I can try to make a pack like that in a few days

an aggressive fog or vignette could possibly also help. the less distance seen the less the nausea should be nauseous. If that makes things easier to create.

Any luck? I've not had success with applying a fog. sticking point is getting a portal block as something that gets check for potential fog effect.

I have a working pack, but it requires a behavior pack too

Well that's not ideal. But I'm sure it'll help at least some.
