I wish to somehow speed them up and don’t want to use a addon, any suggestions?

Easy.

#

Run this command
execute as @e[type=minecart] at @s run tp @s ^ ^ ^0.1

Wouldn’t that make them always moving forward?

Even through walls an stuff

I'm not sure about that tho.

Bruh, minecart is the only entity that cannot get effects such as speed

It is not the only one

#

You can’t speed up the movement of minecarts with commands. Most you can do is fake it using /tp but that will again, just be faking the movement.

#

It can be fully faked tho, since rails have different IDs based on their rotation, so you can easily fake it using /tp for each rotation, even the ones that goes up

Add-ons would be the best solution for this. You can directly increase the max speed a minecart can travel on a rail.

But I also believe with addons the best result is made.

the problem is that i want only some mine carts to be faster than others, thats why i wanted to use commands, because tags

You could use component groups to affect only certain minecarts.

#

The environment sensor component can check entity tags with a filter, and run events accordingly

that sounds like a lot of work for 15 seconds of a cart ride

If your talking about it being short then why increase speed anyway haha
