/close marks the post as resolved. I don't think it properly closes posts at the moment though.

That action marks a post as closed. It will not appear as an open/active post in the forum sidebar

Yes. /close only adds a resolved tag, like I mentioned earlier

Try doing both if possible, as they do different things right now, but in the future /close will do both actions.
