You could try to copy the first person camera settings and rename them to third person.

And possibly the same things for the 3rd person render controllers and animation controllers.

@pseudo chasm Camera files are not exactly data-driven yet. What Mcjiprock describes is possible, but you cannot edit the camera from a resource pack—you will need to edit the camera from the game files.

Notably, this means:

  • This change is permanent, and is applied regardless of what packs you have on
  • This effect is only visible to you, and not other players
