No. But do not put textures in your packs that do not need to be there, because they will override someone else. And it the packs are created by another, look inside them and see if they are like including everything (cause some people are lazy and just put all of vanilla in there).... you can remove those from the packs yourself.

Theres no default textures in my pack
Tbh i havent messed with the pack forcing since around 1.17 so maybe something changed? Idk
resource packs are only gonna override things....like textures... in the same folder/path/name or redefinitions of same thing in the texture_terrain.json (and other like it) SO if your pack has none of that, it should not affect others personal packs that they have globally applied.
okay so it is fixed
because back in the day when you turned on the force pack thing, it would make all the unused textures in the world pack the default textures
Despite having a personal resource pack on

Well im not ready to close it yet
I tested this on 1.18.12, and requiring players to accept the resource pack just results in still replacing everything with default textures
@white ermine ?
Okay, but is it doing it on 1.19.40
gotta test that
it still does it on 1.19.41
omg, it just occured to me.... notice when you create a world there is one pack always there... it is the vanilla one.
not sure if you can take that out.
so in effect, the forcing is including that too.
it says "global resources" which should mean that it's your applied resources
i have some ideas to see if i can work around this but why hasnt this ever been fixed
or ever been thought of
looks like i'll just have to accept unchecking the require to accept pack option
