Released BlockCollisionBoxComponent outside of experimental toggle in JSON formats 1.19.50 and higher
Released BlockCraftingTableComponent outside of experimental toggle in JSON formats 1.19.50 and higher
Although the size is 16x6x16 :/
Still good
The lily pad parity change is a satisfying one
When stuck inside a block, players will now be pushed towards the nearest open area
is it collision_box or selection_box?
It says "block collision" right there
I'm sad...
No more sans traps?
Didnt the game already do that?
so that means collision_box right?
Yes
Nice update
Hmmm
camel dash affected by speed and jump boost
has anyone tried breeding a super speed camel
i see theyre starting to move things out of experimental
and block stuff at that
yes
i can’t wait til they fix tool durability to where we don’t have to use a roundabout way to do it
is there an actual built in durability system?
Bees moved from query.is_powered to query.property('minecraft:has_nectar'). Cool.
Meh, nothing too interesting in todays files, except for wishlist
Slimes seemed to get more data-driven.
New property for minecraft:physics: push_towards_closest_space
Never thought I'd see that one updated.
Not really
I wonder how that one works on custom entities.
add to bedrock.wiki !!!
minecraft:area_attack got damage_cooldown and play_attack_sound.
Ooo
a lot of sound changes

I guess push_towards_closest_space could be useful.
I'd thought collision was already doing that, but maybe not.
Could be useful if you don’t want your mob to have collision, but will still push other mobs out if it’s hitbox (if it works like that)
So other entities can’t push the mob but still get pushed away by it
Just the bee for now as a prove point for actor properties
Block collision component 🎉
When a custom entity has both push_towards_closest_space and has_collision set to true, and such an entity is clipping terrain, the game seems to unconditionally crash. I'll file a report later if I have time.
What does push towards closest space do?
I’ve never heard of dat
Whether or not the entity should be pushed towards the nearest open area when stuck inside a block.
It was mentioned on the changelog today.
Oh cool
Yeah, next month will be crazy.
Can that be a server sticker
the nose looks like a cat face
I'm waiting for when it will be - BlockComponentGeometry Release
why did you tell me that, you just ruined a whole mob 😭
HAHAAHHAHAHAHAHA
IM SO SORRY
...
:)
What is the Beta APIs?
GameTest but renamed and more "official"
ah
Beta APIs is Gametest + Script API APIs which are still experimental. For the ones not in experimental you don't need to toggle them on
Gametest = Beta API = Script API
They just renamed it
They didn't name it Super Duper API because this one is actually gonna ship
It never happened :P
Technical stuff. Instead we got renderdragon.
system limitations
I hate render dragon
Jet engines cost millions of dollars
Now with render dragon you can get them for about 30
what's the current state of preview BDSs?
a new preview!?
ah, i thought a preview dropped because of the 1 min oops
Last update they gave was ASAP
Preview BDS's are getting built behind the scenes. Waiting for the web front-end to display the builds to complete. Shouldn't be too long now.
👀
We'll need a way to add Servers on preview in that case.
All I've learned from this is nagging staff works
dang.. I'm reinforcing bad behavior...
Oh so If I nag about air tags a lot you'll add one?
According to the changelog BDS hasn't been update since March 2020
Wait why is Kayla in fortnite creative server what does this mean for the Minecraft lore
I'm actually tracking the changelogs so if/when it changes there's a history of it. I think it's a neglected file tbh. Wouldn't be shocked if it's forgotten about
yeah, that's quite annoying
