Anyone have any suggestions to how I can troubleshoot my Chef's Stove issue? Can I turn on verbose logging or something?

yes. I started a brand new server, to test the new 0.5.0-pre9.1 releae before public release next week. I placed down the chef's stove inside the spawn point, used it several times. Then I moved it within the same spawn point, and now it doesn't open any more.
I also tried to take it out of the spawn point and place it on the ground. Still doesn't respond. I have the same issue in 0.4.0 release builds

I've created a bug report a while ago. Haven't heard back yet. (I know they are busy - so not surprising)

I can create another bug report. But I don't want' to spam them with duplicate reports though. They have enough to do as it is. But for giggles, I tried to reinstall the server on top of the new server, but issue persists.

If u make another bug report that report will just go to the end of the report list and u will have to wait longer

I was able to get a stove to work again. I broke the first stove, and threw it out. Then I craft a new stove at the workbench. I moved this new stove around a few times, and it's still working. I have no clue what caused the old stove to stop working.

It's a test server, so I don't care that much if it breaks again. I'd rather have it hang around if there is some config files or status files I can provide to support to help troubleshoot what caused it in the first place.
