Well the best part is you can always prefab your old base and bring it to the new world

I suggest keeping a teleporter at home and a teleporter in your pocket for quick loot drops and getting back to base

yeah but i don't mind starting over and will make finding temples a priority while i live at spawn I think and levelling up workbenc to get the table to make them asap

i spent too much time on farming work bench and armour and weapns one. Prob be better to stay in iron and avoid mobs where i can to explore first

Later i will import prefabs when I decide I want to stay in this world I think

I also hope they bring in a mini map as I use it all the time in mc modded as wll as the big map as I have no sense of direction

yeah I had concentrated on opening up map too, as you say I am prob best using the cardinal directions nsew rather than opeing up whole map and later have my base near one of them so easy to find

they working very hard to make sure that does not happen. the worst being division lines between the versions in the world, such as a sudden massive cliff line in v1 section, with a completely different biome on the other side with v2 gen.
i will probably need to restart, since i have mods that add ores and im sure the transition will be too much unless the authors find a way

Ok I somehow nailed the mod first try. It was Macaw's hy lights in my case

Saw someone had black lines caused by Macaw's paintings so i figured disabling the lights mod would work. Gonna restart rq and see if that was a fluke

thedyable woods mod does that. each mod has THE bench, but if you have a couple mods in the set, you only need the one bench and it access all the woods. same with dejans mods. they have different tables, but each can access any of the installed mods, needing only one bench, plus they offer two wide, or one wide benches

this awesome person posted a fix for two mods i use on their modpages, that had the unopenable bench issues. ive used the fix, to get other mods i use working again.

you have to unzip the mod, if its a .jar, i just renamed zip and extracted. then go server/item/items/bench (or block, depending on mod), then open the .json and
under "BlockType": {
paste the following:

"material" will be the line at the top. i just moved it down one line , it will move out of place, i slid it back over so it lined up with the ones below it again. then i pasted the above in the top line where "material" was and saved.
here is example of the Hyfarm bench .json with the added line so you can see how it worked. i basically did same for other mods and it works so far except for charcoal furnace and kiln mods.

if you have the mods folder open, the manifest is right there. open it and make sure the version says 2.0.0 and server version says 2026.03.26-89796e57b. put these there and save. you dont have to even zip the folder back up. you can put it in the mod folder with the other zips and it will work fine

if you using just discs, put a short pipe and a wireless transmitter off the terminal, then right click with the handheld to link. you will have to make transmitters and a second terminal to make the handheld.

try this, put item on the disc that is needed to craft something, make sure the transmitter and the storage access point is attached. access point can be put on any part of the pipes go in the terminal to see all the things in the network, then click sort by name and sort by quantity a few times. suddenly, the workbench and the alchemy table can see the items on the discs even when they not in the drives

you can definitely lower things that have to do with shadows and fog, especially at a distance. light rays like sunbeams and bloom can also be lowered without really seeing a difference, and still get good fps

as I use prefabs made by others i can usually start over pretty quick but that is a very good idea for those who make their own builds

yea we do, you copy the save file. when you open folder for mods, go in the universe folder.

I copied my worlds I thought before I switched to pre-release. I still see my original worlds. I have never opened them because then they'll update.

i find the way map does not keep where you explored annoying for this very reason. My husband breaks the chests there but writable signs would be handy in this case

I erase all my death markers too. I don't want those junking up the map.

you can set it to midday or night - whatever.

I believe the commands now have structured menus sort of.

I know you can change at start of game where its 1 to 1 but not tried changing the settings, tho I always make it that i lose nothing when I die lol

I don't like to mess too much with settings. I did turn off fall damage. Why not - I can play my way.

exactly as not every one is good at combat. Nothing worse dying over and over to retrieve ore you mined

I am not even that bad at combat, I just find it more frustrating than fun to search for lost items its wasted time during which I could do something more enjoyable

yup - and I see a huge sand temple not yet pillaged. But I am on a quest to make it to a land not yet discovered. This zone 4 island is massive. I am going to drop a teleporter

thats the time to drop a teleporter. otherwise you will be constantly distracted like happens to me

I am not great either, but the vanilla game doesn't require complete mastery, as there are no bosses yet.
And I have never been a PVP player.

new memory collected! Holy smokes. They are few and far between now.

lol some of us aren't good at all, but atm I have like a peaceful mode mod so I am really enjoying killing everyone in sight, so that cheat makes my game enjoyable

hope they add peacefull to vanilla though, seems like a very easy addition

and if they do, they hopefully don't do it like in MC, where half the game becomes inaccessiable

yeah I set my rules tho, don't open chests, just kill the things I need to get items for upgrading benches, only collect enough for that
