The issue is implimenting new mechanics and reworking stuff for failsafing it in the future

I just learnt of a possible animal farm lol... polar bear spawners are on some ice islands off shore in zone 3... they always appear after the last one died
So one could build a farm exploiting that

There's 3 different prefabs that have them. The big temples with a staircase, and the ones with a big hole and lots of chests under sand in addition to the Forgotten Temple ones.

Never thought to do it that way. I just explored and found in a desert temple - the one with the pillars made of gold, partially destroyed rooms (due to lava), scaraks and tons of gold chests. I just hadn't gone down far enough in the temple. Behind a set of ornate doors was the golem that gives zephyrs.

My close desert, close to my base, has this same temple but I didn't know what I was looking for and I may not have reached the lowest level. Thanks to another players help I kept going and found that room. I did go down too far - where the lava is and there is no more temple. I had to retrace my steps and get back to the temple structure itself.

I can confirm that when you milk a mosshorn you get moss, milk & poop. I have gotten some moss each time.

They break worlds when they're not updated, sometimes. I understand the desperation of wanting to experience new Hytale features immediately. I do update mine on the same day, but can take me a few hours depending on what has broke. The kids these days don't have the patience for 3 hours. 😭

Does anyone else collect orchids? I have kept them in a chest in another building separate from craftables. I figure they will be something needed in the future since they're kind of rare.

Been experimenting with growing trees the past few weeks, Most of them make it to Stage 3 or 4 but I've only managed to get five of them to Stage 5. I can get a tree there if I plant it about 5 blocks or so in the air but on the ground it feels almost impossible, even if I replace all the blocks below the sappling with either 11by111by5 of air dirt. Any tips?

I had been planting them on a stack of dirt in the air too but found a mod that replaced the dirt , unsure if its been updated yet

no treharvester not been updated. not sure if any other like that has.. assuming you can use a mod, but mostly I just stuck with the 5 dirt blocks up tho they look silly

No, a single sappling grows to all 5 stages, some doesn't make it past the first, others the 3. and 4. Only two trees have gone to stage 5. and I can't figure out what I did right to make them get there

I had this same issue before the update. Trees need 3-4 blocks of dirt beneath them in order for the roots to grow. If there is a layer, or even a single block, of something like stone underneath, the tree won’t grow

Once I ensured that the 3x3 space beneath an oak sapling was just dirt, it fully grew in a couple of in game days

Tried that, dug 5 blocks below in a 11 by 11 area once replaced every blcok with dirt, didn't work, second time around I removed eveyr block except the one the sappling was on.

I am looking forward to when we can make automated animal farms... I hate killing the cows etc myself and all those animal with the cute eyes... so reduced to rats for light leather. Somehow having animals in a breeder, with food, producing babies that grow up and are killed by some means other than me will make me feel better

I can hide in my house while the slaughtering is done and perhaps minecart the goods to me haha

thos nasty rats I have no issue killing except when they manage ro kill be by ganging up with a spider
