Yes, they all have different default traits to their metas (cultures, religions, languages) and different subspecies traits and genes. There's also some more hidden stuff like what are they friendly towards (animals etc.)

There's a culture trait called ethnocentric guard that should reduce the chances of alliances based on opinion but the old kingdoms which have OP religion powers allways end up forming alliances with weaker new kingdoms and use their powers to obliterate the enemy kingoms

Can you create a religion?

You don't so much create one as you do, edit an existing one.

It's up to the king to start the religion though, and that plot can be observed happening and then forced onto any kingdom that meets the minimum.

If each village is part of the same kingdom, it makes sense they'll have the same religion, and likely same culture.

I believe there's a god power that makes sapient creatures forget their kingdom so they can start their own, or you can wait for a rebellion to happen with a village that isn't loyal to the king and has a sizable army. There's of course the god power to make a village splinter off from the kingdom too.

1. Download map.wbox file
2. Press Open in... then save to files
3. Select the worldbox folder then the saves folder
4. Press the 3 dots button next to save and create new folder
5. Rename that folder to save1 or any other valid number.
