If steps below don't work or android 14+ use these alternative methods :

1. Download a third-party application like "File Manager" from google play,
2. Now go to your phone’s "settings" application, after that find/search an factory system application called "Files" (has a darker blue background with a big white folder in the center of the icon), then click it,
3. you will be showed the "app info" screen after clicked the "Files" application, find the three dots button,
4. After you see the three dots button, click the three dots button and then if it has an "uninstall updates" option there, make sure to choose the option (wait until the uninstalling process is done and completed to avoid a mistake),
5. Now open the third-party application (File Manager) and allow it to manage files,
6. Find the "Android" folder and open it, then open the data folder,
7. You'll see some popup, touch "ok"/"yes" and also touch the "use this folder" button at bottom without opening any files that are showing,
8. If you have succeeded, the app will now have access to android file and can enter the saves folder in "com.mkarpenko.worldbox" folder.

I should've phrased that better
After the last major update armies were a mess
Large battles didn't really break out and wars were just a mess of disorganised small skirmishes and they didn't even defend their own cities properly
That was my experience at least and from what I could see on here and on reddit

This update im hoping was meant to fix that among adding a bunch of other things

The patch log did mention that armies and captains should behave better now. Haven't tested it yet

They should gather troops more to a big group and also not have soldiers break off too much from those groups

I hope armies have been fixed real good
If they haven't returned to their usual big blobs pre update then im hoping to see some more organised tactics or something along those lines
And the new meta tabs for em should be much more easier to track down individual soldiers and armies in general

Patch log has: "- better logic for captains to wait for their units before moving out

• army moving out can't be canceled now by breeding desire or socializing"

I had the game open so I could test some of the new stuff as I was reading it like zombie burgers

but it was a lot

And it didn't even mention that there's a new WIP technology tab in village menu

(nothing there yet, but that's probably what the next update is)
