my trick is to put a monolith at the center of the world (Any size you want) And separate the land and the monolith island (The monolith island doesn't have to be big, make as small as you want). Separate the outer and inner land with ocean as well, don't forget to surround the monolith island with mountain so nothing gets in

Now, turn on fast spawn, and select the creature you want evolved. Then all you have to do is keep spawning them, once the monolith takes effect it'll fling all the creatures outside the island, then they'll swim to the outside land.

Repeat until you're done and check the subspecies bar to find the creature

use sonic speed for effectiveness

if it doesn't work just kill everything and repeat the spawning process
