It unlocks everything on the save you’re on, but only on that save. For example, after unlocking it you could then mess with everything you haven’t manually unlocked yet (found in game or completed achievements for) but if you were to load another save you would have to do the process to unlock it again.

AFAIK

If you want to keep everything unlocked, you gotta find it (such as traits or subspecies) yourself in game or complete achievements for them without using forbidden knowledge
