The newer world is 1200 years old, with the oldest continuous kingdom being 200 years old (but had other kingdoms before it), but their largest city only has 230 population, with the rest being just under 100 or 200, and half the number of total houses

don't think so. there doesn't be a way to turn off culture splits universally. you can use the legacy keepers trait to stop them changing after they make their first culture, but I'm not convinced they won't just make a new culture instead of splitting

well if you place guys of the same species far enough apart (when the DNA string breaks) they can become different subspecies, and different subspecies have slightly different base stats

Sometimes you also can't see the DNA string if they're too close to each other; the breaking distance is exactly 5 city zones/2.5 chunks (I checked)

The real question: why does turning on the chunk/city zone overlays from the debug menu make my game lag on the computer, but on my garbage-ass tablet it doesn't

I'd assume they were coded differently somehow, but there's evidence pc and mobile are using the same code

I dunno, but it can be figured out as number of chunks*number of pixels in a chunk

chunks are 16*16

iceberg world is something like 36 chunks on a side because 9*9 is the size, and 1 in that case is 4 chunks or something

576 is what I get from that, but that seems too small

I assumed it would be at least 1k pixels per side
