No, why would it be? All maps can be used without requiring any mods, as long as your device has enough RAM to load it in (depending on the size of the map).

You can make custom sized maps by making it using the image to map converter without the need of a mod.

Besides, the game itself can load in any map at any aspect ratio without requiring any mod, that has been in the game code itself from the very beginning. It was simply the option to change the exact width and height of the maps in map generation that was removed, not the ability to load custom sized maps itself.

Therefore, feel free to get any maps from #🌐✔cool-maps , just make sure you're not getting maps that are too large for your device to load in

I just make the base map image using an art program, then use that map image and convert it into a map using the converter

if you select the slot where it's supposed to be, youll be able to load it

Whether you're making your map in-game or externally using an art program and converting it into a map with the image to map converter

The latter gives you much greater control and tools to shape your map

With the former you only have access to the vortex tool for blending and it's very easy to overdo

Why not just use the image you get from that and add the biomes in using an art program

GIMP for example is completely free and has all the functionality of Photoshop

But if you're already doing it in-game then you have no choice but to use the vortex tool for blending

Just make sure you only use it for a fraction of a second

The longer you use it, the more unnatural the blending becomes

well the program I use allows me to paint the land different colors for biomes, but maps never convert correctly if it's not completely green

Or you're using the bot for conversion which hasn't been updated in a long time

Take a orc king (regeneration, savage), bubble and lightning him (energized, immortal), let him get injured (for one eyed and crippled) put him on fire and throw him in water (skins burns), bless the orc (blessed), let him get old (wise) and give the Kingdom some gold (golden tooth) and you have ten traits!

You can also get kingslayer (killing a king), dragonslayer (killing a dragon), mageslayer (killing mages) and veteran (10+ kills) for non orc kings

Works for demons too (except for blessings of course)

Your original is very impressive!

I think for the sake of playability making it a little bit smaller would maybe be good? Also, if you felt like it, adding in extra details to represent Isengard, Osgiliath, Erebor, throw some Mithril rocks where Moria should be, etc.
Though that would depend on what time-period you want your map to be.
