Hey @dire ice , I tried what Pijun suggested when using the imagetomap3.4 converter and the result in the imgs folder still gives me a PNG instead of a WBOX file

I just don't understand what Pijun was telling me I guess

That's not possible

The converter program only outputs a .wbox file, while the .png file it outputs (meant to be the preview.png image) often gets automatically deleted is outputted in the Temporary Files folder anyway

At no point does it output a .png file in the same folder you placed your .png file used for the conversion

I realized that it takes a few seconds for the file to show up in downloads. I thought you had to get the wbox file from the imgs folder that stores the previews

Thoughts on the detail I put into this?

It might be my first map I release, depending on the feedback I get from here, but I wanted to make an Elven themed island for players to use, I kinda feel like Elves are slept on because of the stereotype that they're all snooty. I made the world gigantic for the reason that the person who downloads the map can add their own islands to join the one I made. The biomes the island contains are the following: Jungle, Grassland, Swamp, Mushroom and Enchanted Forest. I used the Enchanted and Mushroom forests sparingly just to mix up the greens, and because the blessed buff is kinda strong.

I left some ruins for you and your civs to explore/ tear down. The biome spread and erosion should be turned off.

I added a little bit of mountain an hills, especially in the water to break up the solid blue.

I made this on mobile and I'll probably continue to make mobile maps depending on my feedback.

I think having some swamps in the central area of the island would add more biome variation
pixels of hills far from each other can give the feel of large stones covering the island
but that depends on how big it is
since it is elven in nature, adding more unnatural, obviously man made landmarks would add a more lived in feel. Think stone henge in a way
having a dry area with not much water would be interesting to see

I'd say its best to dab it, so you have some other biomes mixed in. I'd use the bottom left brush in the brush menu for this. Its what I used for a lot of detailing

@balmy linden with your image to map, how do i make the map.wbox file

you run the exe, select an image when it opens up the explorer, and say yes or no to dither and then it spits out a file where-ever that image was

need to rename that file to map.wbox whenever you put it in the saves folder

and then it should be good to go

idk why but for me, files save in quick access folder only without any directory so i couldn't find them
