Nah you can set the characters ticks from the start of the game as negative so 54 ticks= a year. -54 ticks = the age of your world + 1. You can make a character 2.147 billion years old by setting the characters ticks to like -1trillion

Not sure what you mean. You can have two subspecies with the exact same traits too. They would still be a different subspecies.
This world law just makes it so that there's some wild random traits with any newly created subspecies
