Looks really good, but those channels are pretty unrealistic. I'd suggest you to add lakes or mountains as their origin points to turn them into rivers instead of making them just go from sea to sea, which isn't very realistic.

What I do is either put a monolith (works for some animals and in the area, doesn't evolve the entire species) and see if it works or go to the species's thing (like you would for a kingdom) and add the traits that allow to create settlements and languages and all
