Suggestion on one possible method of making walls work with the dymanic setting that Worldbox is: making walls needs specific conditions (say, militarist nation / large capital village / big hostile force).

There are wall "levels", like dirt mounts, then wood, then stone etc. Walls can be demolished by the kingdom but they need manpower and work time to bring down. Also, walls inhibit the growth of the village around which the wall is present.

Lastly, there could be two types of walls - village walls and kingdom walls. Also, instead of just covering their borders with walls kingdoms would take advantage of mountains, leftover walls etc.

As for the walls themselves, they could be buildings that are targetable and destructible by enemies. Tools like a simple ram or explosives could increase your efficiency against walls.

Spices! A different type of crop, they can only be grown in certain conditions (haven't though of one yet, but say, something different from where wheat grows). Spices would be good for trading and enhancing food.

There could be a Spices I, II, and III knowledge that increases spice production / food types for a culture. There could also be a special secret knowledge (I forgot what they are called) that gives a unique trait to people of a maxed Spice culture, giving them increase stats and speed that scales with how old the culture is.

Bandits are basically mindless suicide bombers. Make them have more of a purpose. Allow bandits to actually raid cities, whether to kill citizens, steal equipment, or do their traditional bombings. Allow there to also be "clans" that allows bandits to work together in groups in raiding cities. Also make it to where normal citizens could potentially join a "clan" whether via joining willingly or being forced to during raids. Also allow bandits to potentially take the control of villages. As a resource: Water is now a resource that appears in village info pages. The best sources of water are shallow water, rainfall and groundwater - which yield a lot of freshwater. Close oceans yield a small amount of freshwater while deep ocean yields no water at all. It would also be tradeable.

Wells: Buildings that are used to retrieve groundwater. Work best on grasslands and forests. Deserts, mountains and hills yield little water.

Water table: This will be a behind-the-scenes stat that measures groundwater level. They depend inherently on the biome type, and are also affected by earthquakes, urbanization (wells/roads/buildings), rainfall, lightning, fires etc.

This would add another element of realism to WorldBox cultures.

Alright, multiplayer update. Basically, it’s some what simple? It would be a hell hole to code though. Basically, at max a server could hold 200 players. And a max limit of 50 servers. Basically, the server starts, (The server owner has god mode, like what you see in a first player mode.) A player forms a nation, by pressing a button that says “Form Nation”, after the nation is formed, people can join as they please, but you can’t leave once you join. The player who formed the kingdom becomes the king, and the king decides the village leader, then when the king passes on from old age (Then someone else would probably join the server in his place) the first village leader would become king, and he decides the player to take his place. Other villages are founded from the decision of the king, the king says where the village goes, and then he decides the team that founds the village. Once the team is decided, they go and found the village. Then there are jobs, there are miners, (Who are able to access stone mines), Soldiers, (Who go and fight the other kingdom for they’re kingdom.) then there are traders, (who can trade stuff with other traders.) theres also captains, (Captains start off with fishing boats, then they could choose to become trading captains, who trade in ports, or naval captains, who pilot warships and bring the men onto a different island if necessary.) buildings can be constructed by everyone, by getting the supplies required ofc. Economy is handled by the king, you see, when someone trades, or fishes, or mines, they get money, 25% of they’re money goes to the government, the government has to give money to they’re villages, if they don’t, the village is unsupported, and can rebel. That’s basically it, when you reach anything higher then 66, you could die at any second, when you die, you go back to the server joining menu, you join another server and y’know, go through your entire life again.

sharks. Sharks when in the water swimming and doing nothing will just have a fin out and a silhouette but when an animal (besides rabbits cats and pirhanar or anything that small) is in the water it will leap out and eat it immedietely. It wont di this actively only when its hungry. For the smaller animals its mouth and head will come out chomping the small animals in one bite. Stuff like demons can take a hit or two but most of the time the shark is an instant one shot. 60 health

books. Im not sure if books are added but if they arent im gonna suggest it. When the people have gained enough knowledge they can create paper. When mkre paper is in production they can create books. Books can help the culture gain more and more knwledge. Different kingdoms can share their books. Children can help with the knowledge with books. When books have been a regular and thw culture has gained enough knowledge they can make legends, monsters and heroes. Ofcourse the devs wont write each and every book but it would be nice to have a label for the book. Like the randomized motto but for books. Maybe a secret language players have to decode to get the label. Idk

Inspired by the suggestion The Mike#4370 made...

Make it so that Necromancers, Evil Mages can create encampments, so basically a five by five tile base. Have Necromancers build basically a graveyard, with gravestones instead of bushes, dead trees, and a Tomb as a building structure where the Necromancer goes to rest and is essentially a skeleton spawner. Have Evil Mages found cults, with at least one watchtower on the outskirts of their base, a few tents and a shrine for which essentially spawns the new entity called the cultist, they use daggers and are about equal with a level 2 human. Then adding another entity, the Lich; so basically when a Necromancer reaches level 10, they can gain a title called Undeath, which slowly drains their health down to 1, of which will cause the Necromancer to transform into an undead Lich, which then gives them the Lich Staff of Death which could be more powerful than the Necromancer Staff of Terror. A Lich have the Wise, Evil, Immortal, Regeneration and Immune traits, whilst at level 1 they have the same stats as a level 10 Necromancer and are even more powerful again at level 10 as a Lich. (FYI here are some decent names for Liches; Mezaroth, Angmar, Necrophades, Nekros and Xarxes.)

Change Up Dragons
Dragons have potential to really do some cool stuff in worlds. It can start by adding some features.

-Favoriting
Allow dragons to be favorited. They currently can not be.

-Hibernation
After a dragon reaches below 100 or 50 health, they should try to escape a zone of battle. If they succeed, they should find the nearest mountain and sleep for multiple years until they fully heal… Then return to wreaking havoc.

-Reward for Slaughter
The Dragonslayer perk should be given to anybody who kills a dragon, as well as a dragon claw as their weapon, which would be a rare weapon with great damage and adding a fire effect to people they hit.

-Dragon Burial Mounds
Specific areas where dragons die have a chance of being turned into a burial mound building if they die in territory owned by orcs or elves. If a necromancer comes in contact with one of these, he can cause it to spawn a bone dragon from the corpse of the dead one.

Siege Machines
Would be some of the final things that cultures come across. Wars will be bloodier, more destructive, and more interesting with them.

  • Catapult
    It moves like a troop, but much slower. It fires like an archer, yet the rock it launches is strong enough to destroy a building with one hit.

  • Trebuchet
    Completely stationary, must be built in a villages own territory. It fires much like a catapult, but focuses on hitting attacking troops rather than enemy buildings.

  • Battering Ram
    Two troops hold it, and use it to destroy enemy buildings quickly. When destroyed, the two troops can fight like normal soldiers.

  • Ballista
    Just a much stronger archer unit, a giant bow. Could be stationary or movable.

doggos. We have catos so we need doggos. When a doggo is spawned it can be black chocolate or white. Factions can tame the doggos. Their faction is based on their collar. If the collar is normal then human if collar leafy elf if collar gold dwarve and if collar spiky orc. They can have name that you can see when yoy click on them. And they will have the loyalty trait when tamed. When you click the doggo on the doggo preview it will say woof. They can also have the name of their owners in a specific column when clicked. When you click the name of the owner you will follow it.

I know this would sound quite weird but yeah, add a feature that any nation built on an isolated island to have some sort of a wall to protect the island's inhabitants from outer raids by adding archers to it and make it more difficult for outer raiders to subdue the country. maybe the premise is that it's such a magical forest/jungle where plants grow so fast that houses can trespass, anything built on the biome get replaced with respawned plants

A quetzcoatlus will be the size kf a tree. It will have a nest and have eggs somewhere prefferable in a hill or something. They can destroy houses and eat human babies whole. They would hut a full grown adult human and then eat it. But rhey are very weak because their bones are fragile. They will be born with the crippled trait. And have 50 health. Paintings. I suggest that kingdoms could make paintings of how their king looked like, or battles. But making it random is very very ugly. They could add this in but, they would have their own column. When you click on a kingdom, you can see a lot of paintings, and when you click on a painting you get backstory on the painting. Making it its own column is optional because its a lot of work and I dont want the devs to have to really overwork on the column idea but I really think columns would be a good idea for people that like history and backstory.

So from what I have seen, Lava doesn't spread like water when dropped into dry water areas while water automatically fills an area when even a single drop is placed. I believe that all liquids should do this. The leads me to my next point: customizable void. The void is always just a deep blue sea, always there and unchangeable. I believe it should stay that way with a minor exception: the sea should be able to be either one of the three ocean types, hills, grass, lava, mountains, plains, forest or sand. Nothing else, just that ground type. If possible, there could maybe be trees/berries/cacti but I completely understand if people don't want that kinda stuff. I just believe that if someone wants to make a single landmass that's meant to feel grand then it should be able to work with what we see outside the box instead of it just being the same dark blue.

For now, I think 4 groups:

  • World Statistics
    What we currently have

  • Individual character statistics
    it's kind of frustrating to see your favorite king or player die and he doesn't even go into stats after that. Many of them kill a lot of enemies, others live a long time... anyway, I think there are inputs to be used in this case

  • Realms Statistics
    I believe that in this case it would also be interesting to keep the kingdoms that have the greatest expansion, or the greatest population, or the greatest number of villages... again, I believe there are many inputs.

  • Culture statistics
    This is perhaps less relevant at the moment, as in the long run cultures tend to coalesce.

Well, I know there are all kinds of players. Perhaps for many of them, all these statistics I'm quoting are irrelevant.
But I'm one of those types of "gods" who just like to create the world, put people together and watch the rest of the story, that's why I think statistics are so important 😄

Like when a kingdom is being attack at the border soldiers will go there and set up a formation one with like the "Front Guard" "Mid Guard" and "Rear Guard" and if you incorporate weapons into it they can be positioned somewhere in the formation as well.

-Allow villages to be evacuated in preparation for a battle. I don't want to act like this is so easy so ill be realistic just when an army is approaching a kingdom have maybe scouts or automatically evacuate cities or town in the area so they are not near they battle.

Changes 1: Creatures will set up villages on grass tiles and that is where they will develop their civilization. Only a few with hunting or lumber jack skill will ever set up houses in the forest. This way the whole map won't be filled with village after village after village.
Changes 2: Village with the most wealth (gold and metals) and with denser population should be given the designation Town, like 1000 populations = a town. Also a town will have more barracks than a village allow for faster army drafting.

Add new weapons like catapults and ballista's. I respect the idea that you want to keep the game in the medieval era it makes a lot of sense so i want to keep the weapons from that time period.
If it possible improve battle mechanics instead of just fighting have armies split into groups depending on if they are attacking or defending. Lets say a kingdom lands it troops on foreign land. The first attack group would then proceed to launch the first offensive whiles behind them the support battalion would set up a medic place or defensive post(it would basically be the same as a camp site with tents placed all around and you will see medics)

  • If it is a defensive army the front guard will be the ones who are defending at the front and the mid guard will be a few leagues behind them. Finally the Rear guard will be the last line of defence most likely defending the capital form attack.

With orcs and elf cities they are technically cool, but the placement of their housing is so seperated and chaotic even at their max culture... that they don't really look like epic cities but just randomly placed buildings. If orcs and elves could get their own unique pathing/path colour and perhaps city layouts, that would make their civilizations much more epic aesthetically than plopping down buildings randomly with no real city layout

Have armies be able to make actual formations for either defensive or offensive purposes. Like when a kingdom is being attack at the border soldiers will go there and set up a formation one with like the "Front Guard" "Mid Guard" and "Rear Guard" and if you incorporate weapons into it they can be positioned somewhere in the formation as well.

-Allow villages to be evacuated in preparation for a battle. I don't want to act like this is so easy so ill be realistic just when an army is approaching a kingdom have maybe scouts or automatically evacuate cities or town in the area so they are not near they battle.

Improve Army Mechanics
-Make armies march when Headed to fight the enemy
-Or if you add horses have them ride on them to the town
-Have regiment inside of armies like how there are multiple armies in a kingdom have some of them specialised to guard the edge of the kingdoms borders and the some who are just local enforcers and those who are elites who just stay in the capital.

-When you add them don't make them walls around a village make them walls around a kingdom
They can start as being around a village at first but then as the kingdom expands allow them to build walls around their territory don't have them destroy the ones around the capital though
-Add that walls will have gates that will open and close. Granting access to people who belong to the kingdom and to denying access to those that do not.

Add new weapons like catapults and ballista's. I respect the idea that you want to keep the game in the medieval era it makes a lot of sense so i want to keep the weapons from that time period.
If it possible improve battle mechanics instead of just fighting have armies split into groups depending on if they are attacking or defending. Lets say a kingdom lands it troops on foreign land. The first attack group would then proceed to launch the first offensive whiles behind them the support battalion would set up a medic place or defensive post(it would basically be the same as a camp site with tents placed all around and you will see medics)

  • If it is a defensive army the front guard will be the ones who are defending at the front and the mid guard will be a few leagues behind them. Finally the Rear guard will be the last line of defence most likely defending the capital form attack.

-Talking about sticking to topic
-Add more mystical creatures like giant(Not the ones we have now actual giant) have them attack races and to to kill them no matter how but make them overpowered compared to other races

Yes currency exist in the medieval times so this should count, add a currency that goes with the cultural system, so when a culture is made, on a certain level a currency will be made, and can be used crosscultures
You can even edit the currency by editing the name or the value of it,and a graph that tracks how rich a kingdom is

4th : Kingdom Customization
Add a feature where you can edit the value of the resources of a certain kingdom, Edit what's the banner of the kingdom, and even choose a king for the kingdom

ok so, you know how the map is limited to a finite space right. How about at a very high discovery lvl they can send boats to other continents. These continents are basically the same as main island but it is not registered as being in the game while on main island. What I mean by this is basically a save file that is an extension of the main game but it all fits in the 1 save slot. These would be basically 2nd islands for those who have main island as full. To get to the other islands you would have to click a button thing that says something like “go to island no.#”. This is so if ur map is full you can go to another island if ur discovery is high. The catch is that you wouldn’t be able to create these at will, they would be searched for by boats once you unlock the culture lvl. The units would also be able to travel back and forth between these places. Once a nation covers at least 2 continents, it should receive rank of empire.

Kingdoms can choose heroes to fight for them in wars after a certain lvl of upgrading the culture. These heroes are much more powerful and are equal to around 100 reg soldiers. These heroes should be getting the 2nd best gear, just below the king. At a certain lvl, the heroes should be able to cast some types of magic such as firebolt or freeze. The higher the culture lvl, the more heroes you can have. The heroes should be stronger depending on the culture lvl and when maxed out, can solo fight a dragon and survive.

How about a bridge building system?
How about like, civilizations with a certain advancement can build bridges over water from one spot to another.
I was also thinking that boats could pass through these bridges, and bridges would be constructed if it decreases walking time substantially, allows for easier trading, or would benefit a war effort.
Also, if a bridge is letting in enemy soldiers, the civilization that is getting attacked should try to burn the bridge down to make it harder for the enemies to reach them.

Expanding on this parasite idea, instead of a new thing there should be separate stages, at first stage of infection they are mad and will attack anything but will suffer from a major debuff, at stage 2 they have normal stats and are mad, but they won't attack other infected with parasites, but at stage 1 they will. At stage 3 is where it gets more complex, once a certain amount of stage 3s are in an area a hive will form, which will spawn parasites that will infect more people, sort of like a tumor with extra steps, but after a hive has formed people infected with parasites from the hive of origin will evolve quicker.

-Alliance: Shows a kingdom list of alliance, alliance is similar to peace but with more features, in alliance 2 or more kingdoms can help each other's culture research, making it faster for kingdoms to make more cultures,
Allied kingdoms can also gift other kingdoms with resources so they can help each other out,more things to point out in alliance is kingdoms can connect their roads into each other's,and ofcourse what alliance is on the world, just like Kingdom Territory, Culture Territory and Village territory, it will have an Alliance territory

-Neutral : in simple terms, neutral kingdoms can either join a war against some kingdom, or join alliances if their status with other kingdoms are good, they can still trade with other kingdoms.

how do the housing techs work?
-does it produce more running-around pawns on the map? or does it all just make the map 'denser' in the form of 'harmless' pop number and performance isn't affected at all?
-as far as i can see, 500-600, up to >1k pop cities are much more common to see now
-thinking of it this way: i certainly wouldn't want to have a more crowded map if that means worse game performance for the same map size, i want to play an expansive map, with lots of cities, rather than a tiny map with tiny & dense cities
-also, other stuff also doesn't scale well with more crowded cities, like naval invasion - a 100-troop naval invasion on a 200-pop city is much different from an invasion on a 500-pop city, especially if it's something like 100 humans trying to invade a 500-elves city
-----so yeah

I suggest that each race have their own terrain that is beneficial for them (or at least don't make it so that every race HAS to have forest and perhaps soil for them to be decently functional). Elves can make special buildings (like druid shrines, giant trees) on forest tiles, humans can make things like a menagerie/windmill/market on soil, dwarves can build and flourish on mountain/hill tiles via mountain/hill homes (maybe even make tunnels as possibility?) and orcs can flourish on desert, with an arena/forgery, etc.

These buildings are just an idea, I just want dwarves and orcs to at least have more than soil and forest tiles to live on. Especially because of their themes.

The main idea here is that dwarves and orcs can live and settle well on other tiles besides soil and forest. At the moment sand, hills and mountain tiles feel kind of useless and making races unique on terrain sounds like a huge 👍 to me.

Equality Update
It’s time to bring equality into world box, let me expand on that.
The King should be renamed to the sovereign or ruler, these terms I think are more appropriate titles then just a mere king.

The nation that is the most dominant will have some national penalties applied to them to make them more equal to other nations, such as ‘Underpaid Workers’ which will decrease the production of miners and farmers or just workers in general by 10%, another penalty can be ‘Incompetent Army Staff’ which will decrease the damage of all of that nation soldiers by 25% (More penalties can be created, which I will leave to the discretion of the developers)

Small nations will get some national bonuses to help them build up faster, some examples of bonuses are ‘Proud Workers’ which will increase the production of miners and farmers or just workers in general by 15%, another bonus can be ‘Brilliant Generals’ which will increase the damage of all of that nation soldiers by 30% (More bonuses can also be created, which I will also leave to the discretion of the developers)

Nations with 10 or more cities are more likely to experience natural disasters, while nations with 5 cities or less are more likely to not experience any natural disasters. (This will only work if a player has turned on natural disasters in world laws)

bit of a far fetched ideas but, we all know each city create a army and a general leads them, now hear me out , it would be cool if we could edit these in a way so you go to the city menu and it’s army is listed there you click on it and you can rename the army, assign the new general (flag bearers) or secondaries for when they die and all that this could also allow the general to have abilities that influence the troops like strategists which gives all his soliders a boost in attack and speed etc, and maybe allowing the flags to have a number or symbol to recognise what city that come from or like do they are the (exp: 1st Men at arms (Ekivgo)). I would love to see a Modern World version or DLC to this game, instead of villages, more like a city with cool designs of buildings. idk, maybe like starts from old age villages to sci fi looking cities. maybe add a space section with planets aswell. god, that would be so darn cool. ngl i suggest this game to a ton of people. defiantly up near the list of minecraft xD (I cant really say this in game-suggestions cuz im not allowed for some reason).

Eventually, give an ability to play as a single kingdom and rule it, without the powers and sandbox mode, maybe a kind of fog covering the world outside of your area so you have to explore it and you do not know what is out there, diplomacy with other villages and etc, kinda like civ but with a clear cut and more abilities.
