Well it depends mostly rules of fields. Like around here (finland) most people prefer using ESS brand stuff such as crossbows or ICE but most fields have +18 rule for eyepro what don't strap around head.

And i do remember hearing mostly negative of lancer as brand.

I think I know what you're describing - the spring which is supposed to pull on the charging handle got overstretched by pulling on it. I have had the same problem before. It happened to me when pulling on the charging handle while the gun was disassembled, so the handle didn't stop like it was supposed to. Unfortunately, you will likely need a new spring.

That should be okay-ish. The reason why eyepro isn't safe is that BBs break apart when hitting it and shrapnel can go into your eyes. With your face that's only an annoyance and less of a danger. However if the face pro is bad quality, it may be damaged quickly and need to be replaced if you wanna guarantee safety

If you're looking be effective at the field without spending a lot of money, keep your AEG. Gas powered rifles' main draw is realism. They can perform very well, but so can AEGs. And you're spending more money, carry around more weight, have less magazine capacity and less reliable performance. Just for a sensible combat load of magazines (6 mags with 30-40bbs each, so like one Highcap worth), you're likely looking at around 300$

The options I currently have on hand are some Rossi variants or a CYMA with some accesories and some use, or G&G CM18 Mod1 (Mk18 Mod.1), neither of them are metal sadly cuz those are like 4x the price (being lucky xdd)
