Got a question about airsoft equipment. I purchased my son his first airsoft rifle for Christmas and have zero experience with them. It’s a VFC Colt 723 GBB and looking for recommendations on bb weights and stuff I’ll need for a GBB.

not an expert, I have only hk usp. But i would suggest to check if there's any recommendations in the manual.

One thing I’d highly recommend for a GBBR is an NPAS. Allows him to control the gas output, and therefore the power of the replica. As for other things, 0.28g BBs will be good for it, as well as a maintenance kit for it

first up, great choice
VFC makes great GBBs
regarding BB weight, you'll be able to use anything up to .28-.3 with the stock hop rubber
switching that out will allow you to use heavier BBs -> flight path less affected by wind -> higher theoretical effective range
other than that, you don't really need anything else, those things are great OOTB
NPAS is a good suggestion tho

Im going to be buying a tm m4a1 sopmod and trying to use the handguard of the CYMA m4 s-system. It’s a metal hand guard from what I’ve heard and it’s apparently compatible. since it’s the replica of the ARMS Sir 50c/m rail system
