im having an issue where my Cybergun five seven cant feed properly, whenever a magazine is inserted and the slide is released forward it will get hung-up slightly when the piece that grabs the BB this the mag, Because of this when a mag is loaded and the slide is release, the slide will get stuck after it hits the BB in the magazine until the back of it is slamed forward by something like my hand. IDK what is wrong with it, Ive played 1 game day with it and it worked fine then

Common issue with cybergun gbbs

i had a cybergun desert eagle and the double rods slide failed after about 1-2 months of use and it was only due to the springs on the rods failing during full auto which fucked up the feed immensely

Your spring probably failed, though the gun somehow kept kicking until something else failed

How good are invader gear plate carriers?

I'm pretty happy with mine, got the Reaper QD. Don't have any complaints so far, but I've only had it for a few games now so I can't speak to the long time durability, so far it's holding up as expected. The QD is just awesome, I'd not recommend to get one without tbh, not in that price class. Only issue for me is that I'm really skinny and it's a little large, I need to push the adjustability of it. Shouldn't be a problem for most.
Be aware that it doesn't come with SAPI dummies, only some soft foam in it. I'd recommend getting some as it makes the carrier a lot more rigid, I took some hard foam ones from my old one and they work fine.

Generally don't buy from Novritsch is the best advice I can give. All the AEG rifles are rebranded, overpriced crap. The Sniper rifles need some tuning to not suck. Pistols can be okay, but still a lot of money for questionably QC and terrible support.
For an entry level AEG, I can personally recommend a Specna Arms Edge. Also, I've heard people say a lot of good about the Cyma Platinum series but I've not had one myself.

It's mainly cosmetic, unless you really like giving your gun a beating, most of the cheaper ones are chinese pot metal, including CYMA, however it can and will still take a beating and doesn't require any maintenance

Personally, i can't stand plastic receivers

Taiwangun also sells arcturus stuff, which i have heard is quite good. With cyma platinums the mosfets are a bit disappointing and roughly one in ten fuck up eventually, some sooner than others

With some modification the gearbox can take a Jefftron Leviathan or an Aster V2 SE mosfet, it takes about a hour for any airsoft tech to do so, here the hourly wage for them is 45 euros

Then there's also Specna Arms edge 2.0s, those come with an Aster preinstalled, and overall are pretty solid out of the box, if you get it, get it from gunfire when it's on sale, they are on sale there more often than they are not on sale

True, just Novi always claims theirs don't. Tbh the internals are decent, besides the Hopup. That's shit, like on all their guns. I had one from a friend, if you change it, the cylinder etc. are pretty good. Still an expensive gun for what it is but at least you get some good internals. Used, they can be a good deal if you change the hopup.

Durability wise, good plastic can rival cheap metal (which you are buying in that price range). But the feeling to me is worth it, fully agree with @muted bloom, I hate plastic. Just doesn't feel or look remotely like the real thing.

I don't have much experience with different kinds of cheap metal but the ones on cyma guns have lasted my abuse for ages

also, you can paint them with paint meant to make stoves shiny, makes the pot metal look more realistic

I got both although I love my gas gun way more I’d get an electric to see if u even like airsoft to want to keep playing bc gas guns are expensive
