in my experience, red dots are not really required on handguns unless you plan on using that as a primary, otherwise i am just shooting at point blank range

not sure if you're still looking for an answer, but with my humble opinion and slight use of those guns I can kinda say that whatever you go with will pretty much do what you're looking for (I'd recommend WE-Tech or KJW if you can get it) however fixing them and or sourcing parts can be kind of a pain and those guys are notorious for being finnicky. you can usually get a variety, I prefer Gas Pistols (CO2, Green Gas) which always come with semi-auto with some decent punch power, and a good majority of the time if they're over $100 you'll get a Blow-Back action as well, only downside is the cost to shoot (Gas, BBs, Etc.) goes up. Electric ones are really only good for close range and you can barely feel them. I'd say pick your poison

An AEG is a good starter gun for example an m4 or something similar since they are cheaper and more easily upgraded. I would recommend getting one for around 100 - 150 bucks

If you can operate the MP5 more better than the M4, then go for the MP5

depends do you want a op ass gun thats just point and shoot or do you like recoil

electric is high performing and all around cheaper but kinda boring imo, no recoil and it just feels like advanced laser tag, gbb is more expesive but recoil feels nice and they tend to replicate guns better

if you are looking to do it at public fields indoor electric will just spray you down with the high cap mags so its very performance sided over realism, gas tend to fire harders and better at distances and in my experience been more accurate but you will get outgunned by electric players at close distances if full auto is allowed
